Arches of Corti (ampullary), sacculina, Lallemand's membrane, mandibular arch - one of the arches in the upper jaw, which is identified in patients with insufficient visualization of the 2nd knee point of the temporomandibular joint (based on the Sands technique).

Ultrasound localization of the arcs of Corti is a mandatory stage of radiographic examination of the TMJ. Ultrasound data must be compared with data from the medical history and examination of the patient by a specialist. Of particular importance is the ultrasound method for identifying dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint; it also allows you to determine the angle of mouth opening and identify abnormalities in the functioning of the joints.
