Review

My sister has been using this face cream from Yves Rocher for more than half a year and is very pleased with it. True, she is older than me. And just recently, I also decided to switch to a cream that would not only nourish the skin, but also maintain its youth and restore its former tone again. The consultant assured me that this cream would be perfect for this. So I took it for testing.

Packaging: white and red cardboard box containing a jar of cream.

The cream itself is in a glass jar with a screw-on red plastic cap:

I’ll say right away that I don’t have any special problems with my skin (pah-pah), except for dryness. However, recently I noticed that it was losing its tone a little and the first, barely noticeable wrinkles appeared on the bridge of the nose and small ones seemed to be pecked on the forehead (they are still almost not noticeable, and not particularly on the bridge of the nose).

So, the consistency of the cream is delicate, creamy, medium thick, white in color:

The cream has a light, cosmetic fragrance. Quite pleasant, unobtrusive, which after application to the skin is not felt at all.

The cream is applied to the skin and spreads easily. Absorbs in less than a minute. At the same time, it does not leave behind any greasy film or sticky effect. It does not create a mask effect either. The skin looks much better after it, nourished and well-groomed. Wrinkles become a little less noticeable, but the effect is more visual. It occurs immediately after applying the cream. I had enough food until the cold weather set in. Now (in the fall) it is no longer enough for me. However, during regular monthly use, the skin tone actually increased (or rather returned to normal). The skin has become more elastic. But the wrinkles (two tiny ones) have not gone away, although they have become a little less noticeable. However, the effect of this cream was greatly enhanced by a serum from the same series - for Wrinkles & Skin Density, which I applied before using this cream. But I will tell you about it in the next post.

And a couple of times, the cream provoked some rashes on my skin. Accordingly, I dare to believe that it can clog pores, but not critically.

In any case, due to the lack of hydration and nutrition of my skin with the onset of cold weather, I stopped using the cream and already bought myself another one from Darphin. Overall, it’s a good product that really delivers results, but in some areas we didn’t get along with it.

Yves Rocher cosmetics continues the theme of anti-aging facial skin care and has prepared several lines for us.

Now we will get acquainted with the Natural Skin Radiance Program 1,2,3 - Serum Vegetal.

Here's what they write on the Yves Rocher website about this program:

The natural radiance program for the face smoothes the surface of the skin, makes it softer, more even, gives the skin a radiant tone thanks to the Plant of Life extract: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum combined with Rice extract. The complex includes a Serum that prepares the skin for care and enhances its effect, a Day Care that cares for the skin during the day and is an excellent base for makeup, and a Night Care for use during sleep, when the skin is most receptive to active ingredients.

Plant component: MESEMBRYANTHEMUM CRYSTALLINUM

The super-powerful extract of the Plant of Life: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum forms the basis of the formulas of the innovative range of anti-aging care SERUM VEGETAL. Naturally assimilated by the skin, it activates the production of mTOR protein (in vitro tests), which stimulates anti-wrinkle mechanisms at the cellular level.

Cosmetics Yves Rocher – Day Care for Wrinkles & Skin Smoothing – All skin types

Cosmetics Yves Rocher says on its website:

Are you looking for an anti-wrinkle day cream because you:
- wrinkles and wrinkles.
- dull complexion.

Day Care for Wrinkles & Skin Smoothing - All skin types is suitable for you.

Plant of Life Extract: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum, by activating the production of mTOR* protein, stimulates anti-wrinkle mechanisms at the cellular level. The formula also includes a plant extract of Rice, which restores the process of oxygen metabolism at the cellular level*, enhancing the natural radiance of the skin.

Chemical composition:

  1. glycerin is a humectant, attracts and retains water in the stratum corneum of the skin, perfectly restores damaged skin, reduces dermatitis, and restores skin barrier functions.
  2. caprylic/capric triglyceride - obtained from coconut oil and glycerin. High quality emollient, rich in fatty acids that restore damaged skin surface, moisturizes the skin, and prevents moisture loss. Has anti-inflammatory properties. Claims that this ingredient is comedogenic are not supported by research.
  3. dimethicone is a chemically inert silicone chemical. Gives the skin softness and velvety, ensures the cream glides over the skin and makes it easier to apply, prevents irritation and redness of the skin, creates a light film on the surface of the skin that does not interfere with skin breathing. Used in plastic surgery for the manufacture of implants. Despite the fact that it creates a film on the skin, it is non-comedogenic (does not clog pores).
  4. methylpropanediol - glycol, refers to the auxiliary ingredients. Solvent provides deeper penetration of active ingredients into the skin. It has moisturizing properties and leaves the skin soft and pleasant to the touch. Non-toxic to skin.
  5. cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that can be obtained either synthetically or from coconut oil. Emollient, stabilizer and emulsion thickener, promotes deeper penetration of other active ingredients of the cream. Does not irritate the skin and is considered a good ingredient for the skin.
  6. glycine soja oil - soy protein. One of the most effective cosmetic ingredients. Stimulates collagen synthesis, increases skin firmness and elasticity.
  7. sesamium indicum seed oil - sesame seed oil, emollient, herbal ingredient.
  8. methyl glucose sesquistearate is a mixture of methyl glucoside diester and stearic acid. Refers to “good” cosmetic ingredients. Softens and improves the appearance of the skin, that is, it works as an emollient.
  9. brassica campestris seed oil - raspberry seed oil, odorless, is one of the best cosmetic ingredients. A rich source of antioxidants, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), softens the skin and restores the skin barrier.
  10. centaurea cyanus flower water - water of cornflower or gentian flowers, has anti-inflammatory and softening properties.
  11. talc is a natural component, excipient.
  12. PEG-100 stearate - belongs to a wide group of polyethylene glycols used to thicken the emulsion to improve the penetration of other active ingredients of the cream.
  13. glyceryl stearate is an emulsifier, after its use the skin becomes smooth to the touch. It is most often obtained from palm, vegetable and soybean oil. It is considered a component identical to skin. Easily penetrates the skin, restores damaged skin barrier, softens the skin and protects the epidermis from moisture loss. Reduces stickiness and "heaviness" of cosmetics enriched with oils. Approved by the FDA and The Cosmetic Ingredient Review as a safe ingredient in cosmetics.
  14. acacia senegal gum - Senegalese acacia, grows in Africa. Gum arabic powder serves as an emulsifier in the preparation of oil emulsions. A solution of gum in water is used as an enveloping agent internally and in enemas. Acacia leaf extract has anti-inflammatory properties.
  15. aphloia theiformis leaf extract - aphloia leaf extract is a Madagascar tea. There have been practically no scientific studies confirming its effectiveness and safety in cosmetics. Contains antioxidants and tannins, has a pigment-constricting effect.
  16. phenoxyethanol - preservative, replacement for parabens.
  17. inositol is one of the best cosmetic ingredients, lecithin. Some believe that it belongs to the group of B vitamins, but this is not entirely true. Restores damaged cell membranes and skin cells themselves, has moisture-retaining properties. Natural inositol is obtained from rice grains; it moisturizes the skin, controls sebum secretion, and has antioxidant properties.
  18. parfum, carbomer, ethyl linoleate, xanthan gum, lecithin, tocopheryl acetate, sorbic acid, retinyl palmitate, sodium hydroxide, BHT, tetrasodium edta, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, sodium benzoate, citric acid, tocopherol, potassium sorbate, propyl gallate.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics has created a very good moisturizer that is suitable for normal and dry skin, as well as combination skin.

The cream has a light texture, non-sticky, is well absorbed into the skin, moisturizes and softens the skin. Contains useful emollients and moisturizers.

The composition of the cream is enriched with antioxidants - aphloia theiformis leaf extract, brassica campestris seed oil, vitamins A, E; ingredients that improve connections between cells - inositol, lecithin.

Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum Extract is a plant extract rich in antioxidants that neutralizes free radicals and fights premature skin aging. Moisturizes the skin. Used in traditional medicine.

Disadvantages - “wrong” form of packaging - not hygienic, contributes to faster destruction of vitamins and antioxidants from light and air; presence of fragrance - be careful with sensitive skin!

Yves Rocher cosmetics are unlikely to be able to significantly reduce the depth of existing wrinkles using cream alone, but you will get the visual effect of reducing them - simply due to emollients and silicone, the skin will become smoother.

If the wrinkles are small and have just appeared - yes, this cream will be effective, as it contains anti-age ingredients - glycine soja oil, brassica campestris seed oil and antioxidants.

There are no age restrictions. On the contrary, it is better to use this cream at a young age, when wrinkles are still very superficial, than to wait until “when I’m over 40”)))

Yves Rocher cosmetics almost completely repeat the previous advertisement, the packaging is similar, so we immediately move on to describing the chemical composition of the cream.

Chemical composition:

glycerin, ethylhexyl stearate, methylpropanediol, glycine soja oil, steareth-2, myristyl myristate, glyceryl stearate, butylene glycol, behenyl alcohol, PEG-40 stearate, hydrogenated coconut oil, dimethicone, butyrospermum parkii butter, acacia senegal gum, centaurea cyanus flower water , inositol, phenoxyethanol, ethyl linoleate, parfum, xanthan gum, lecithin, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, tocopheryl acetate, sorbic acid, retinyl palmitate, sodium hydroxide, BHT, tetrasodium edta, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, sodium benzoate, citric acid , tocopherol, potassium sorbate, propyl gallate.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics simply offers a more nourishing cream for evening facial skin care.

Everything is logical - the cream simply contains more more nutritious ingredients - myristyl myristate (can be comedogenic for oily skin), hydrogenated coconut oil, butyrospermum parkii butter - of course, this cream is perfect as a “night” cream and just a cream for dry skin.

We already know all the remaining ingredients; I see no point in duplicating them.

The disadvantages are the same, but I don’t consider them too significant.

Yves Rocher Cosmetics – Anti-Wrinkle & Skin Smoothing Serum

krem-iv-roshe-serum-vezhetal-lGOOxJy.webp

Cosmetics Yves Rocher writes on its website:

Plant of Life Extract: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum fights wrinkles at the cellular level, while Rice Extract restores skin's natural radiance. Day after day, wrinkles and fine lines are visually reduced. After 1 month, the natural radiance of the skin is restored.

Bottle with dispenser 30 ml.

Chemical composition:

  1. methylpropanediol - see above.
  2. alcohol - denatured ethyl alcohol, made by fermentation from carbohydrates or synthesized from petroleum. Antimicrobial agent - used as a preservative for cosmetics. Degreases and very dries the skin, causes irritation to sensitive skin, and damages the skin barrier. Promotes free radical damage to the skin. A very “bad” ingredient!
  3. dimethicone, glycerin, sesamum indicum seed oil, centaurea cyanus flower water, cetearyl alcohol - see above.
  4. zea mays starch - corn starch. Needed to thicken the emulsion, adsorbent, mattifies the skin. Similar to talc, it makes the skin surface smoother. Refers to “good” ingredients in cosmetics.
  5. inositol, aphloia theiformis leaf extract, ethylhexyl stearate, parfum, ethyl linoleate, ceteareth-33 - see above.
  6. caesalpinia spinosa gum is a substance that is obtained from the endospermium of Caesalpinia Spinosa. This plant is known as Tara (Quechua). Grows in Peru. Refers to auxiliary cosmetic ingredients - an adhesive, improves skin condition, forms a film on the skin, increases the viscosity of the cosmetic product. Considered safe when applied to the skin.
  7. sclerotium gum, hippophae rhamnoides kernel extract, tocopheryl acetate, xanthan gum, retinyl palmitate, carbomer, helianthus annuus seed oil, methylsilanol, mannuronate, tetrasodium edta, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, sorbic acid, citric acid, sodium hydroxide, potassium sorbate, tocopherol, propyl gallate.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics somehow did not please me with the composition of the serum!

It’s bad that alcohol is at the very beginning of the list of ingredients in the serum, although its drying and irritating effect is softened by beneficial emollients and oils. Yes, it creates a pleasant texture for the product, but at the same time it damages cell membranes.

Therefore, I cannot recommend this product for very dry and sensitive skin; for skin prone to oily skin, you can try it as a moisturizer. But don’t forget that oily skin with acne is also sensitive skin.

And so - all the ingredients we know, emollients, moisturizers and antioxidants, valuable plant extracts. The serum has a fluid texture and can be used as a light day cream.

Manufacturers of anti-aging cosmetics every day have to look for new and improve old ingredients, as well as find new ways to combat wrinkles and age-related changes.

This happened with the new line of anti-aging care products Serum Vegetal from Yves Rocher, which contain a unique ingredient - Mesembryanthemum Crystal extract, which we talked about in the material about proper facial skin care. We have been interested in this line since it went on sale, and we decided to test the effect of the Serum Vegetal series products on ourselves. What came of it - read in our material!

Modeling eye contour cream “Lifting Effect”, Sérum Végétal

I am skeptical about eye creams: I have tried a lot, but there is no effect. And spoiler: this modeling cream made me reconsider my views. I'll tell you why.

Let me immediately note how much I like this idea with the applicator! It is very convenient to apply the cream under the eyes with this tube: you gently press, a drop of cream appears on the applicator, and you lightly touch it in the eye area. Super! No touching with your hands! And the tube of a special elongated shape turns application into brush strokes!

About the cream: white thin consistency, without a strong odor, absorbs well.

About the effect. I never thought I would say this, but I felt it almost immediately. After the first 4 applications, expression lines around the eyes became noticeably less pronounced! But after I got into the swing of things and already slightly overdid the dose of cream (the temptation to lose 5 years by New Year is too great:), my eyes looked swollen in the morning. I read earlier that this is possible, so now I’m restraining myself. At this stage I am satisfied with the cream. As soon as I finish the tube, I’ll share my final impressions!

Anti-wrinkle and skin smoothing serum “Natural Radiance”, Sérum Végétal

Cosmetology provides us with more and more new products and innovative products every day. This time I decided to try the Sérum Végétal “Natural Glow” serum from Yves Rocher. Often, a cream can create the feeling of a mask on the face, in which case it would seem that there is no point in talking about a product UNDER the cream. But, nevertheless, interest got the better of me.

The first impression is quite pleasant. I was immediately pleased with the liquid texture, soft smell and quick absorption. And yes, finally there is a remedy after which you don’t feel a ton of fat on your face.

Regarding the effectiveness of the product, I can safely say that after 2 weeks of use, my forehead wrinkles became less noticeable. But I decided to conduct an experiment and stop using the serum for a few days. Unfortunately, the smoothing effect began to wear off little by little and my wrinkles returned to their original state. On the other hand, this effect can be attributed to the interruption of the course of “treatment” of wrinkles. Overall, I’m happy with the result, but we are women and always want more.

Anti-wrinkle and skin smoothing serum “Natural Radiance”, Sérum Végétal

I had the opportunity to try a new anti-wrinkle and skin smoothing serum from Yves Rocher. Although obvious facial wrinkles are visible only on my forehead, I applied it to my entire face - I’m already 25 and this is very relevant.

Pros. The structure of the serum itself is very pleasant to the touch. Even the skin of my hands (I applied it to my face with my fingers) becomes simply velvety. I really liked that when you apply the daily cream after the serum, it is absorbed instantly. And when you apply foundation afterwards, the surface of your facial skin really seems smoother. The serum probably improves the absorption of the cream and better nourishes the skin cells.

Minuses. I didn’t notice a big change in the forehead area - after a month of use, the wrinkles were still there.

In general, I liked the serum, but I would not recommend it as a remedy for wrinkles.

Night cream for wrinkles and smoothing the surface of the skin “Natural Radiance”, Sérum Végétal

To be honest, I respect Yves Rocher, but I have not used creams from this French company. But the moment came when I simply needed to order a care product from the “25+” category. I’m talking about necessity because before that I didn’t even want to think about such a terrible word as “wrinkles.” But you need to be one step ahead, even if you don’t yet have unpleasant folds on your skin, the appearance of which can be completely prevented.

I chose the anti-wrinkle night cream and after using this product for more than a month, I can say that I am very pleased with its effect. The cream nourishes the skin well and is ideal for the winter when it becomes dry. It feels like it is not completely absorbed, which would be bad for a day cream, but for night care it is quite acceptable. I was also pleased by the smell of the product - barely perceptible, but very pleasant, it evokes associations with high-quality cosmetics. And the jar in which the cream is located is definitely a plus, reminding us that high-quality cream should only be stored in glass.

Anti-wrinkle and skin smoothing serum “Natural Radiance”, Sérum Végétal

I also responded to a test of popular cosmetics from the famous brand Yves Rocher. For testing, I chose the anti-wrinkle and anti-wrinkle serum from the “Natural Radiance” line. I had never used such products before, so it was interesting to see the effect.

I’m 26 years old, so fortunately I don’t have any obvious wrinkles yet. But I know from my older friends that the enemy appears when you didn’t expect it, and the sooner you start anti-aging care, the later wrinkles in their deep form will appear. Yes, and just creams are not always enough. Therefore, after reading positive reviews of the anti-wrinkle serum from Yves Rocher, I decided to try it. I am a visual person, so at first sight I fell in love with the beautiful glass bottle with a convenient dispenser. So for me, using the serum daily was not only beneficial, but also aesthetically pleasing.

Advantages: The serum has a delicate structure and a pleasant smell. The main thing is that it is absorbed into the skin very quickly, and since I don’t like the feeling of greasy, this fact was a huge plus for me. The serum applies well to the skin, but it is better not to exaggerate with the amount: a small drop is enough. The skin becomes pleasant to the touch and even glows a little with health, as they say in advertising.

Flaws: I didn’t find them, except that it was unusual to apply cream after the serum, doing, so to speak, a double procedure. But I’m sure that my skin will say “thank you” for such a double saturation with benefits.

After systematic use of serum from Yves Rocher, the complexion has noticeably improved, the skin has become more delicate and dryness has disappeared. I can’t say anything about expression lines, since I haven’t seen them yet, but I hope that with the serum they will appear much later. I will definitely continue to use it in the future.

Night cream for wrinkles and skin elasticity “Restoring elasticity”, Sérum Végétal

Night cream from Yves Rocher is presented in a small, laconic package with a convenient lid. The consistency of the cream is quite pleasant: it is not liquid, but it cannot be called a gel either. Externally it resembles a soufflé. The smell is pleasant, without synthetic fragrance. The cream is evenly applied to the face and does not spread. There is, however, a specific feature: it is a little sticky, but I think this is explained by the fact that the cream has the properties of a lifting effect. After applying it to the skin of the face, it feels like you are wearing a mask - it tightens a little, but there is no pain or other sensations. The effect after use is pleasantly surprising - the skin looks fresh and even glows a little. The face immediately looks rested. In my opinion, this is an excellent night cream for those who want to get their appearance in shape without resorting to radical methods :)
