Pantocid

Pantocide is an antiseptic that contains chlorine compounds. The drug is produced by the Irbit Chemist Pharmacological Plant in Russia.

Pantocida is available in the form of 8.2 milligram tablets. This is a simple preparation for topical use when washing and rinsing wounds, as well as for douching the stomach and intestines for intestinal infections.

Once on the affected area, Pantocid disinfects tissue, reduces inflammation and relieves irritation, promoting rapid wound healing. The drug is active against most microorganisms that cause infectious diseases.

However, it is worth remembering that, like other antibacterial agents, Pantocid cannot be used in case of an allergic reaction to the components of the drug or in case of hypersensitivity to chlorine. The drug is also contraindicated in children under 7 years of age.

The product is not intended for treatment of mucous membranes and eyes. Long-term use should also be avoided in case of intoxication lesions and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Despite its shortcomings, Pantocides have recently been included in the standard of care for patients who have certain infections after hospitalization. It can also be used as one of the components of complex therapy before and after surgical interventions, for infectious pathologies and other diseases.
