Phlebocavography

Phlebocavagraphy is a diagnostic method that is used to study the veins of the lower extremities. This method is based on the use of X-rays and allows you to obtain images of the veins in real time.

Phlebocavagraphy is performed to diagnose various venous diseases, such as varicose veins, thrombosis, phlebitis and others. It allows you to determine the degree of varicose veins, the presence of blood clots and other pathologies.

The phlebocavagraphy procedure is not painful and takes about 20-30 minutes. The patient needs to lie on the couch and raise his legs up. Then a special sensor is placed on the leg, which transmits the image to the monitor.

After phlebocavagraphy, the doctor can determine the presence or absence of venous diseases and prescribe appropriate treatment. Phlebocavagraphy is an important diagnostic method for the prevention and treatment of venous diseases.

Phlebogram or phlebography - in vascular surgery, this is a method of recording blood flow in the veins and main arteries using special x-rays, radiography or angiography. Less commonly, a venogram is formed by another method - this is a method of visualizing venous blood flow depending on different levels of illumination. The whole process takes place under the supervision of a doctor, thanks to which a venogram has important advantages. This is the most informative type of study of the circulatory system, which shows the anatomical features of the vessels.
