Strengthening nails after winter: top 10 ways!

In spring, our nails do not look their best: as a rule, they are thin and often break. How to take care of them and return them to their former beauty and health? First of all, don’t be lazy: pamper your hands with baths, masks and creams as often as possible. Read on to learn how to prepare them at home.

  1. Heat 1 tbsp in a water bath. olive oil, add 3-4 drops of lemon juice to it. Rub the resulting liquid into the nail plates with massaging movements, put on cotton gloves and leave the strengthening mask on overnight. It is recommended to do it 1-2 times a week.

  2. Take 0.5 tsp. ground red pepper, 1 tsp. any rich hand cream and 10 drops of boiled water. Mix all ingredients and heat in a water bath. Then lubricate the nail plates with the mixture and leave the mask to strengthen the nails for 20 minutes. Rinse with water. Use it no more than once a month.

  3. Take 4 g of beeswax and melt it in a water bath. Add the mashed yolk of a boiled chicken egg to it. Stir peach oil into the mixture until it becomes a thick ointment. Rub it into your nails and skin of your hands daily to make your nails strong and your skin smooth and beautiful.

  4. Mix 1 tbsp. lemon juice with a few pinches of salt. Apply the liquid to your nails for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. This strengthening product can be used 1-2 times a week.

  5. Take 2 tbsp. mixture of chamomile, burdock root and St. John's wort, pour 1 tbsp. boiling water, let it brew. After a few hours, warm it up a little in a water bath and dip your fingers in the broth: it will strengthen and nourish your nails. You can use this bath once a week.

  6. Mix 2 tbsp. honey and olive oil, heat the mixture in a water bath, then, after cooling a little, add a raw egg. Mix everything well, put your hands in this bath for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

  7. Mix 1 tsp. glycerin, 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 3 tbsp. rose water. Rub this mixture into your nail plates overnight. The ointment will help you restore healthy nail color.

  8. Take 0.5 tbsp. gelatin, dissolve it with 1 tbsp. hot water, cool and dip your fingertips into the liquid for 20 minutes. Gelatin will help strengthen and nourish your nails. The bath can be done 2-3 times a week.

  9. Buy vitamins A and E at the pharmacy and rub them into your nails with massaging movements every day before bed: this will strengthen them well.

  10. Take 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, heat it in a water bath, cool slightly, then add 2-3 drops of vitamin A, 3 drops of iodine and 0.5 tsp. lemon juice. Place your fingertips in this bath for 20 minutes. No need to rinse off. This product is great for brittle and constantly peeling nails.
