Trypanosoma Cruzi

Trypanosoma Cruzi is a species of T. of the trypanosome genus, distributed in central and south America.

Mammals that carry the parasite include possums (Didelphis), armadillos (Dasypus), wood rats (Sciurus) and cats (Felis). Triatomine bugs (Triatoma) are carriers of the parasite.
