Anzarut

Essence.
This is the gum of a thorny tree growing in Fars; there is bitterness in it.

Choice.
The best anzarut is yellowish and similar to incense.

 Nature.
Some argue that Anzarut is hot in the second degree and dry in the first. Abu Jurayj says:  “It grows in Fars and Luristan, and it is very hot.”

Actions and properties.
Anzarut glues without burning and therefore heals wounds and builds meat; it is used in plasters. In an - zarut there is a sticky, clogging force, and another - bitter, as well as the ability to cause ripening and dissolution.

Cosmetics.
Constantly drinking anzarut leads to baldness, especially in old people.

Tumors and acne.
Anzarut in the form of a medicinal bandage soothes any swelling.

Wounds and ulcers.
Anzarut eats away dead meat, heals fresh wounds with their own blood and helps in resetting dislocations. To do this, use a solution of anzarut, as well as a solution of the dried root of the plant from which anzarut is extracted.

Organs of the head.
If you take a wick with honey, coat it with grated anzarut and insert it into the sore ear, matter and pus will flow out, and in a few days it will be healed.

Organs of the eye.
Anzarut is useful for inflammation of the eyes and especially for clogged eyes; helps} and against catarrh of the eye, especially if anzarut is boiled in donkey milk. Anzarut also removes specks from the eye.

Eruption organs.
Anzarut expels immature juices and thick mucus, especially from the legs and joints.
