Base oils

To prepare flavored massage oils and creams, fats of vegetable and animal origin are used as a base. All of the following fats can be used to prepare massage oil, skin, hair and nail care products. Essential oils dissolve well in them and are easily absorbed through the skin. In addition, fat cleanses the skin well, dissolving the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands, protects the skin from external pollution (dust, smog) and atmospheric influences.

Fatty oils are mixtures of glycerides of high molecular weight fatty acids. Lipoids, lipochromes, nucleoproteins, nucleoalbumins, vitamins included in fats accelerate the process of their absorption. It is important that the vegetable base oil is not refined, not flavored and obtained by cold pressing. Otherwise, it loses many beneficial properties and goes rancid faster.

From vegetable oils you can use: poppy, flaxseed, hemp, walnut, cottonseed, olive, sunflower, rapeseed, black mustard, sesame, almond, apricot, peach, peanut, corn, soybean, jojoba, avocado, aloe vera, rosehip, walnuts , wheat germ, grape seeds, pumpkin seeds, castor, safrole, shea butter, calendula, St. John's wort, milk thistle, cocoa, coconut and palm.

Among animal fats, it is better to prefer cow and goat butter, fish and sea animal fat.
