Recently, on my Instagram, I admitted that despite all the efforts to protect, cleanse, and soothe, my skin arrived from China in very poor condition.

Having received a blow from the cosmetologist, I decided to stop experimenting with Asian cosmetics and use a good balancing care for oily skin for at least a month. What came out of this is already under the cut)

But let's take it step by step

Stage 1 - Cleansing. Kiehl's Ultra-Facial Oil-Free Cleanser

The foam is designed to deeply cleanse the skin of excess sebum without drying it out and maintaining skin balance.

I admit, I was very worried that with regular use the foam would worsen dehydration. After the first wash, I kept the tonic and a stronger moisturizer at a low start.

But no. To my puppy happiness, after 7 weeks the flight is normal. The pores are slowly but surely cleared, and dehydration has not worsened. Test.

Important: girls will really like the foamwith oily to very oily skin. If you have normal or combination skin, the foam can be drying. Therefore, ask for samples - and you will be happy)

Stage 2 - Toning. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner Kiehl's

A very interesting tonic. On the one hand, it is intensely moisturizing, and on the other, it reduces oily shine. As a rule, these two functions are incompatible on oily skin)

I had a similar story with Erborian ginseng tonic. Remarkably moisturizes, but oily shine appears much faster.

Therefore, I expected something similar from Kiehl’s. But the line decided to surprise me in all directions.
In the first weeks Feel the toner was the same as the foam - amazingly refreshing (hello, pool with cool water!), perfectly “holds” sebum, but has nothing to do with moisturizing.

And then I somehow washed my face with a vigorous gel from Garnier. For old times’ sake) In contrast, the skin tightened to the point of scabies! Then it turned out that the tonic really knows how to moisturize and soothe. Not as straightforward as Erborian, but not overloading and without the problematic castor oil in the composition.

Does not leave any smell or stickiness. Active Ingredients – the already familiar cylindrical imperata, antarcticin (a glycoprotein that enhances the protective and moisture-retaining properties of the skin) and vitamin E.

Unlike foam, I would definitely recommend toner for both oily, combination and normal skin. Gotta like it)

Stage 3 - Moisturizing and nutrition.

Here I took two products: for the face and lips.

1) Moisturizing gel-cream for the face without oils Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel-Cream

Texture - My lovely. Something between a light gel and a delicate cream. Absorbs without a trace in 20 seconds, leaving no film. The effect is good. 9 out of 10 for the description. Really refreshes and invigorates after sleep. Doesn't roll or float. Works well with any powders and foundations.

Concerning moisturizing – those with oily and very oily skin will be very happy. Finding a cream that will moisturize and not overload is our biggest problem. It is he. If you were looking for something like this, be sure to take a sample or test it with a friend)

But if you have combination or normal skin, you may not have enough hydration. It makes sense to pair it with a more active serum or cream. I combined the line with a more active night care, and it worked out optimally.

Based on the results of 7 weeks, I do not regret the experiment. The skin is slowly but surely coming back to life. Dehydration and increased fat content decreased by 30%. I think the result is good for 7 weeks.

But there is still a lot of work) I will continue this line until October, and closer to the cold weather I will think about a series with Calendula. I have high hopes for her.
