Description and composition of the drug "Ferezol" for papillomas

Feresol for the fight against warts and papillomas

Feresol is a medicinal product for external use, which is an oily, opaque solution of light brown or dark brown color with a characteristic sharp, irritating “phenolic” odor.

The drug is packaged in 10 g bottles of dark glass, packed in cardboard boxes. The kit includes an applicator or dropper built into the lid. The concentration of the solution is 10%.

The price of Feresol for papillomas and warts in Russia is 45-50 rubles, in Ukraine - 18-25 hryvnia. Sold without a doctor's prescription.

The shelf life of the solution is 5 years from the date indicated on the package. The medicine should be stored at room temperature in a place protected from light, out of reach of children and animals.

Active substances in the composition of the remedy for papillomas “Ferezol” per 100 g:

  1. Tricresol, 40 g. Light yellow liquid, solution with antiseptic properties, a mixture of para-, ortho- and meta-cresol.
  2. Phenol, 60 g. Carbolic acid, which, when applied to the skin, inhibits the vital activity of microorganisms of all types and strains.

Upon contact with the skin, Feresol has a complex effect. The solution inhibits the vital activity of pathogenic microorganisms, causes clotting (coagulation) of the protein structure of the virus, destroying the cytoplasmic membrane, and at the same time cauterizes the neoplasm. After removing a papilloma or wart with Feresol, a crust forms, which subsequently disappears.

When using solutions and ointments with an aggressive effect on the skin, you need to analyze your sensations. There are quite a lot of similar products for removing papillomas on your own; you can always find a replacement. If Feresol is not suitable, you can purchase its analogues: Verrukacid, Superclean, Solcoderm, Aldara cream.

Note! When using Feresol, sediment may appear. To get rid of it, the bottle is immersed in water heated to 30-40°C for 2-3 minutes, and then the contents are shaken.

The benefits of Feresol for papillomas and warts

The drug is used in outpatient and home settings to remove benign neoplasms of all types - flat warts, filiform and ordinary growths, senile keratomas, papillomas localized on the skin, dry calluses.

Useful properties of Feresol:

  1. Destruction of neoplasm. The active components of the drug penetrate deep into the epithelial tissue and completely destroy the structure of the growth.
  2. Skin cleansing. The scab peels off, the epidermis is completely freed from papilloma, and the relief improves.
  3. Fast action. Small formations dry out after the first application.
  4. Preventing the development of infection. After cauterization, purulent-inflammatory processes do not develop; there is no need to add antimicrobial agents to the therapeutic course or apply bandages with antiseptics.
  5. Ease and safety of use. Preliminary preparation is required only when treating plantar warts with Feresol; in other cases it is not needed. The presence of an applicator facilitates the process of applying the solution.
  6. High efficiency. Relapses after removal of papillomas with this solution are extremely rare.
  7. Painless procedure. If you follow all the recommendations specified in the instructions for the drug, pain will not occur.
Important! When Feresol is used correctly to remove warts and papillomas, scars do not form.

Instructions for using Feresol to remove papillomas

The most important thing when using Feresol is to avoid contact of the caustic substance with healthy tissues. Do not lubricate the skin with bare hands or a cotton swab, otherwise a chemical burn is possible. To do this, use a special applicator, a wooden stick or a toothpick.

If the neoplasm is large, an adhesive plaster with a pre-cut hole is placed on it. In addition, the area around it can be treated with zinc paste - after the procedure is completed, the auxiliary agent is not washed off, but removed with a cotton-gauze swab.

Recommendations for the use of Feresol for papillomas and warts:

  1. Thread-like growths and small neoplasms that rise slightly above the skin are lubricated once.
  2. When removing papillomas larger than 3-4 mm, the solution must be applied several times. The interval between treatments is 3 minutes. In a similar way, they get rid of senile keratomas and dry calluses that do not rise above the surface of the skin.
  3. Small growths that have formed on the soles, toes and hands are lubricated 6-10 times with an interval of 3 minutes. Before reapplying, you must wait until the previous layer has dried.

To get rid of large plantar warts with a dense keratinized surface, preliminary preparation is required. First, the problematic growth is treated with keratolytic ointment. This group of drugs includes Salicylic ointment (read reviews of Salicylic ointment for papillomas), Keratolan, Mozolin and the like. The medicine is left for 3-6 hours. The area with the ointment is covered with an adhesive plaster, cellophane film or compress paper to create a greenhouse effect.

Then the ointment is removed and the skin is steamed using a foot bath for 15-20 minutes. Add grated laundry soap, soda or salt to the water.

The steamed crust is carefully cut off with nail scissors, having previously disinfected them with alcohol, cologne or vodka. The problem area is dried with a gauze cloth and only then the anti-papilloma remedy “Ferezol” is applied. With this treatment, corns and dead skin can be removed along with the growths.

Important! If the solution accidentally gets on healthy skin or mucous membranes, you must quickly rinse the drug with running water, treat the area with liquid with ethyl alcohol and rinse again - this time using soap. If it gets on the conjunctiva after washing (soap and alcohol solutions are not used!), it is advisable to drip emollient eye drops - Cromohexal or Oksial.

If re-application of Feresol is required, it is carried out only after peeling off the crust. This takes from 5 to 8 days. For large tumors, the procedure must be repeated up to 5 times.

Before you begin removing warts that are located in the intimate area (genital warts) with Feresol, it is recommended to consult a doctor. These neoplasms have a high probability of degenerating into a malignant form. A histological examination may be prescribed.

Note! Before treating growths with Feresol, it is necessary to verify their etiology. When applied to nevi, for example, it can provoke degeneration into a malignant form.

Contraindications to the use of Ferezol

Moles cannot be removed with Feresol!

The use of the solution is associated with some restrictions. Feresol for papillomas and warts should not be used:

  1. When treating preschool children. Contraindications are related to the structural features of the skin. The dermis is thin, blood supply and metabolic processes are accelerated. High likelihood of developing allergic reactions. When contacted with healthy areas, chemical burns occur; the active components are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and can cause general intoxication.
  2. To remove birthmarks. In this case, the size and structure of the nevus do not matter. Trauma to the surface of moles can contribute to their degeneration into a malignant form and trigger the development of melanoma, the most dangerous form of cancer.
  3. For treating large areas of skin. If papillomatosis is severe, then problem areas are treated one by one. Do not apply the solution to a surface larger than 20 cm2 - in this case, there is a high probability of toxins entering the bloodstream and spreading throughout the body.
  4. For the treatment of mucous membranes. Feresol is not used for warts and papillomas localized on the lips and near the mouth, on the eyelids, in the nasal and ear passages.
  5. Together with other topical medications. After treatment with a caustic solution, no other ointments or liquids are applied.
  6. Under a plaster or gauze bandage. The greenhouse effect increases the risk of chemical burns, the development of an allergic reaction and general intoxication of the body.

Genital warts in the intimate area during pregnancy and papillomas on the chest during lactation are not removed. However, “special conditions” are not absolute contraindications for the use of Feresol. You should consult your doctor about the possibility of its use.

Important! If negative reactions occur - itching, irritation or rashes - in places of contact with the skin, the use of Feresol to remove papillomas should be abandoned. Most often, allergies are caused by phenol, which is part of the solution.

Results of removal of papillomas and warts

Doctors are quite cautious when assessing the use of the drug Ferezol.

It is noted that in 30% of cases relapses develop; growths appear in the area of previous formations that were cauterized with the drug. In 5% of cases, overgrowth may occur, especially when using a solution to remove genital warts.

After Feresol removes small papillomas on open areas of the body, the skin structure is restored within a week. To speed up the process, after exfoliation, apply a nourishing cream to the scabs.

Patients consider the drug to be quite effective and efficient, note painlessness during use and ease of use.

Note! If papillomas reappear after using Feresol, you should consult a doctor.

Real patient reviews about Feresol

Before purchasing a medicine, even if it is inexpensive, people try to find out how effective it is, how often allergic reactions occur, can children be treated? If previously you had to ask friends for advice, now they get information from the Internet. Below are a few reviews of Feresol for warts and papillomas:

Alina, 35 years old

I had several small growths on my face and neck. The doctor prescribed the drug. No preparation is required for the procedure; you quickly apply Feresol with a toothpick. By evening, the papillomas darkened, and after 2 days peeling appeared and the crust began to separate. The skin has cleared. It's a pity that you can't use it in the summer - it looks ugly.

Vladimir Vladimirovich, 57 years

A corn has formed on my foot. He had already begun to limp and had difficulty choosing shoes. Ferezol was recommended by a neighbor - with its help she got rid of plantar warts. I steamed my leg and applied it. I repeated the treatment 4 times and removed all painful growths. And the following summer everything appeared again. The product is good and affordable. But I would like to be treated with something so that I can apply it once and forever. I didn’t like that I had to prepare first and sit with a basin. I'll try something different.

Oleg Mikhailovich, 47 years old

A wart has grown on my cheek, but I don’t like going to hospitals. The pharmacist advised me to buy Feresol. I covered my cheek with a plaster with a hole cut out, took the solution into a pipette and dropped it into the middle. I waited until it dried and repeated the treatment. The crust fell off after a week, but the wart only got smaller. To completely get rid of it, I had to repeat the procedure three times. The face cleared up, no traces remained on the skin. Now I recommend it to everyone I know who has the same problems.

As you can see, after removing papillomas with Feresol, the reviews are not only positive. But you shouldn’t be afraid of this - each body has its own reaction to medicinal substances.
