Even before the era of my own conversion to a blogger, not being at all savvy in matters of Asian cosmetics, in the very first days in Thailand I discovered with unprecedented joy the fact of the existence of a black Shiseido film mask. I liked it so much that it became one of the few, in fact, “Thai” (because in fact it is Japanese) products that I almost always have.

This is what the current review and review will be devoted to.

How to use the Shiseido black mask and my review

Small green bags with pictures of strange women with black masks on their faces. Back then, film masks were new to me, and the first experience was funny. I realized that the pitch-black contents of the sachet should be applied to the face, avoiding the area around the eyes, which I immediately did. And she began to wait for all this stuff to dry, to turn into a film that would be so interesting to peel off later.

Mistake #1: You can’t do all this in the bathroom. You definitely need to get out of the wet shower room to give your family a good laugh.

Ok, after half an hour of boring sitting in the steamy air, without receiving even a hint that the mask was trying to freeze on my face, I shyly climbed out of the safe bathroom, covering my face. In the first years of family life, you know, you still somehow try to hide from your husband, framing yourself in curlers or covering yourself with layers of transformative masks.

In the room atmosphere, in a matter of minutes, the mud-like substance was transformed into a tightening film - so smooth and folded on the face, like a second skin. The decision was made to joyfully begin tearing off. However, this joy did not last long...

Mistake No. 2. When applying film masks, you should not only avoid the eyelid area, but also not smudge your eyebrows one bit. Otherwise, you will have to lose several priceless eyebrows. An essential detail for young ladies who are as far from the Cossack black-browed look as I am.

Taking off the newly created “second skin”, I cried in places. It even turned out that I do have a growth above my lip, previously unidentified due to its faded color, which can be pulled out, and this is not particularly pleasant. However, after the process, one could look with satisfaction at what stale treasures the mask had pulled out from the depths of each pore of the skin.

For now, I’ll cut off the unappetizing technical details and note the results of using the mask, which I liked so much that to this day I use it periodically.

1. The skin is soft, rosy and warm. “Velvet” - the ladies on Aircomends unanimously note in rave reviews. And I helplessly join this chorus of hysterical praise.
2. Each pore is deeply cleaned, its effectiveness comparable to salon procedures.
3. The face looks toned and fresh.
4. There are no uninvited guests - acne.
5. There are fewer comedones and the pores become narrower.

But in my opinion, this good detox product should not be used more than once a week. Because the cleaning is very thorough, as already said, comparable to a salon cleaning. As you know, such things cannot be abused. Ayurveda would say at this point that the skin “falls into a state of passion” - i.e. Instead of removing sebum and dirt from the pores, as well as keratinized particles, it tries to grow the same, but new ones, as quickly as possible.

A few words about the composition of the Shiseido mask

However, the main tenet of Ayurveda states that you can only apply to your skin what you can eat. So ancient Indian medicine would have rejected our heroine, because... it definitely contains all kinds of preservatives, plasticizers, etc. So let's not consider our object as something ideal from all sides.

Alas, the composition on the packaging is completely indicated in Japanese, because... cosmetic brand Shiseido is the pride of Japan. What is clear is that the ingredients include:

1. algae extract - it always tightens, rejuvenates and seems to make the skin denser and increase elasticity.
2. The black color probably comes from charcoal - a great detoxifier, very useful for problem skin, magically removing all impurities and toxins from the depths of the pores. Afterwards it seems like you can breathe easier.

That rare case when I personally am completely ready to sacrifice my lack of knowledge about the composition because the effect is too good. In addition, the mask is washable, which no longer gives a reason to once again put aside parabens, sulfates and other rubbish, without which all the cosmetic “wow” products would never have reached our hands.
