**Tight hearing.**

This type of hearing loss is caused by the inability of sound waves to pass through the inner ear, which is a result of infection, trauma, or certain medical conditions. Due to the presence of this hearing loss, a person has to constantly turn his or her head as they listen. There may be a noticeable gap between the moment a person hears a sound and the moment that this information reaches his or her mind. The mental effort required to process the sound information turns off after every time the person would turn his head to make an attempt at getting to the essential information about any sound. In addition, the brain’s processing resources are focused mainly on extra-auditory features to deal with every such incident.
