And again I want to appeal to the people. Because in winter the skin dries out mercilessly, you need a good cream. But all the moisturizing creams I bought came in second place with glycerin! and it dries out the skin over time! This glycerin is everywhere in luxury, mass market, pharmacy and even organic (like natural). Svoboda evening and amber creams are praised for dryness, but they also contain glycerin and even mineral oil. although many luxury manufacturers dabble in mineral oil! In general, you need a decent moisturizer.

I've bought a lot of Myrrh lately. It seems that not all of them contain glycerin, mostly natural oils and extracts. In general, I was surprised by the quality of the creams. I highly recommend Cryo-Protector Cream for the winter. I use it myself every day in the morning, and I’ve got all my colleagues and friends hooked on it. Now it's just great for winter. All my people say that the cream works. And protects and cares from frost/wind. But my people walk their dogs twice a day, go skiing, and travel by train every day.
You can also look at creams from prof. cosmetics.

Vredina, so try Evening, I also like Amber, firstly they eliminate inflammation, and secondly they nourish the skin very well. You will truly be pleased.
Vredina, visit Samantha's blog. There you will understand how to choose a cream. Look at the icons
Glycerin dries the skin only in its pure form, and creams contain only 5-7%. Glycerin has a good ability to draw moisture from the air, and thereby saturate our skin with it. As a result, a seemingly damp film forms on the skin, which is why this moisturizing effect is felt.

Glycerin is a product of natural origin, which is very often abused. Not all that glitters is gold. Lanolin is also a natural fat, but it’s not suitable for everyone. Glycerin can retain moisture on the surface of the skin, the question is how? Here opinions differ. Glycerin is capable of sucking moisture out of the air, so it is often accused of being able to draw moisture out of the skin, which ultimately leads to dryness. What is true and what is not is debatable. But given that the air is dry in winter, it is somehow doubtful how much moisture can be pulled out of the air. If you also notice that the more glycerin cream you use, the drier your skin, stop immediately. In small quantities, glycerin will not cause harm, but if the skin from creams is only drier, then the creams definitely dehydrate the skin (perhaps glycerin is not the only one to blame for this).
I had an experience when large dry spots appeared on my arms from the shoulders to the hands, which also turned red after a shower. I bought a cream with glycerin and silicone (among other things) in the pharmacy. I applied it as recommended - 2 times a day, the skin immediately after application became smooth and soft. But after 7-9 hours, the dry spots required more cream. After switching to body oils, I almost got rid of the problem. I apply the oil after a shower and forget about the stains, they are not visible, they do not itch even on the second day after applying the oil. Now, after 2 months of using oils instead of creams, it is clear that there are fewer spots, and the skin is softer and healthier. In other words, the creams only masked the problem and made my skin “dependent”, probably even dehydrating.

Dear accomplices, have you come across face and body products on your favorite website that do not contain glycerin? Please share links.
I want to try giving up products with glycerin for a while and see if anything changes.
I have already replaced tonics with floral waters and hydrosols. But so far I haven’t come across the rest of the care without glycerin - even if it’s in the middle of the list, they’ll shove it in (.
Out of curiosity, I looked through what I bought and found only one Udderly Smooth hand cream. True, there are things in the composition that many people fear much more than glycerin. Then I decided to look at what else was on iHerb and saw that the trend continues: instead of glycerin, usually either mineral oil or silicones, exceptions are rare. You can see for yourself.
Thank you!
Yes, glycerin is replaced with something very sad.
The only exception here is Andalu creams. I have been using the vitamin C series for several years now, but they do not cover my needs 100%, unfortunately.
I took this cream, only with the smell of coconut: that there was no glycerin in it. I have combination skin, which is closer to normal in winter. I used it just in winter, it worked great)
Regarding the price - here in the community they analyzed the composition of their regular face lotions and those lotions that are “for everything”: and found that they are almost the same. And the large version is cheaper) I ended up ordering a small one, because my skin is prone to clogging, and I was afraid that the “everything” version would be more nutritious.
I also try to avoid glycerin in formulations, especially in facial care. It creates a sticky film on the skin.
From what I used:
Thank you very much for your question, I didn’t even think that the face itself was telling me not to approach glycerin, now the experiments will be even more careful
I really want you to like it
and pair it with the green Luvalla L'uvalla Balancing Day/Night Cream - it is without castor, and much lighter, but it was removed from iherb (I still get pimples from time to time, I get both coconut and witch hazel , now I’ll take a closer look at your list)
It’s interesting that both honey and both luwalls leave a similar feeling on the skin, different from any other creams I’m familiar with - there is no post-cream slipperiness, the face seems dry.

Oh, the mask is cool too! Thank you)
In L’uvalla Balancing Day/Night Cream, glycerin is in 5th place in the composition. Are you sure you're talking about him?
Do you know if glycerin is in rinse-off products? Is it also rinsable or should I be wary of it? I have the only wash that works and my favorite face mask - both contain glycerin. I'm lost in thought now.
I also saw a list with glycerin somewhere, but on their website everything is clear: Ingredients: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol (plant fatty natural) Lavender Flower Water*, Hazel Seed Oil*, Palm Kernel Oil*, Argan Kernel Oil*, Cetearyl Glucoside , Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Thyme Flower/Leaf Oil*, Lotus Flower Extract, Lavender Herb Oil*, Lavender Oil*, Lemon Peel Oil*, Rosemary Leaf Oil*, Sweet Marjoram Flower Oil*, Clove Bud Oil*, Cypress Oil*, Bitter Orange Leaf/Twig Oil*, Cinnamon Bark Oil*, Olibanum Resin Extract, Palmarosa Oil*, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid
In principle, regarding glycerin - maybe you saw in the email in my comment a link to an article exposing glycerin - I later deleted it. I sent this article to a close friend, a scientist at the US National Institute of Health with a postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry from Yale, according to him, a lot of it is far-fetched. Well, I myself watched a couple of scientific ones. articles - no crime in particular, but I tried to find
. But my skin is better without it /
As for washing, it is water-soluble, so it washes off. And with a wet disc afterwards it’s even more reliable.
So, I will believe in good things))
Yes, I saw the link - I’ll study it now.
I know that chemists are not against glycerin in principle. But I’m interested in trying care without it - such an experiment on myself. Moreover, current remedies do not solve my problem with blackheads, so I am ready to experiment. And I’m ready to admit my mistake if my experiment fails)).
About water solubility - you have now calmed me down very much. And then all the soaps and all the foams are glycerin-based. I was already afraid that there was no point in me starting all this if the wash-off treatment contained glycerin.
And after washing my face I always have floral water, so in theory not a single drop of glycerin should remain unwashed))
Thank you very much for the conversation. I learned a lot of new things))
I also put Wedderspoon in my basket now). And a couple of Lady Bug Jane creams - for face and body). Special thanks for the powder! I currently use Kanebo powder, but its price is very steep. And yours is 3 times cheaper))
I have the same thing with this “itch” - I also tried everything before - some have beautiful packaging, some have a description. And since I started digging into the ingredients, a lot has been eliminated by itself: SLS, comedogenic components, carcinogenic preservatives, and now glycerin. Life has really become easier))
Give me your discount code please. I want to enter when ordering)
oh, I didn’t even know what powder was called. good thing.
yay, SEK344 - great, thanks
Thanks for checking)
I followed the link and - sadness - it contains castor oil. It gives me 100% acne on my face. There is also such a reaction to coconut oil, to caprylic triglyceride and some other oils.
I decided to write this post when I wandered between the store shelves for the hundred-millionth time and again left with nothing. Now I really hope for your help, because I have simply lost hope of finding a suitable face cream.
The skin on my cheeks is dry in winter and normal in summer, the T-zone begins to shine all year round within a couple of hours after washing. In general, the skin is very sensitive, there is a slight tendency to rosacea. In addition, the skin is problematic, but acne is caused by internal problems (which, of course, I deal with), so the cream is not needed for problematic skin, but simply moisturizing, but at the same time does not clog pores and does not provoke rashes.
But I can’t find a cream because of the composition requirements: from glycerin the face sweats very unpleasantly, from any oils sweats and reacts with rashes, and from silicones the same as from oils. I am confident in these conclusions because I have tried a lot of creams (mass, organic, pharmacy) with different combinations of these substances in the composition. And I simply cannot find a cream (or gel) without glycerin, oils and silicones.
I expect good hydration from the cream and no greasy shine after application. I would really like it to be a cream with SPF or two creams - night and day with SPF.
Price - preferably up to $25, but I will consider all options.
