My reviews of Vichy Moisturizing Serum (Vichy Mineral 89)

I’ve already told you a million times that I’m not at all friendly with Vichy pharmacy cosmetics. Of the ones we tried, I think only the Vichy anti-hair loss shampoo was impressive, and the micellar water is not bad.

Otherwise, I categorically don’t like all these silicone creams, and I don’t see any benefit from them on myself. And this is the main thing.

So, on this negative note, I’ll probably start talking about this serum. You should know in what mood I will write my review?

A pleasant, heavy transparent bottle with a dispenser is aesthetically pleasing. Still, I prefer sealed jars, which are guaranteed not to contain anything unnecessary that could ruin the cosmetic product before the war.

The serum has an extremely ascetic composition, which the manufacturer has made its marketing “plus”. Serums with hyaluronic acid are a dime a dozen, and Vichy thermal water is the only one in the whole world. The mechanism of action is extremely simple, like three kopecks. There is no magic, although watching the video of how dried apricots turn into peach makes you think so.

But all the magic is in that very hyaluronic acid and glycyrin; the other components do not provide any particular benefit to the skin. I still doubt even the power of thermal water; for example, the same Vichy thermal water in a bottle dries and tightens my skin. In general, this is clearly not about hydration.
The serum itself is not at all “watery”, but has a rather thick gel texture. Colorless and odorless, as promised.

Due to its density, Vichy whey is consumed quite economically. Unless you will smear yourself with it from head to toe (but you can, in fact).

It is absorbed almost instantly and does not leave any stickiness. Which is a big “plus”, as gel textures often suffer from this drawback.

In principle, at the moment this serum would suit me, if not for a small problem that I had long forgotten about. If, in addition to this serum, I apply cream or oil to my face, it all starts to slide under my fingers.

Moreover, this happens even if the cream is without silicones (currently I use the line of creams from ESPA) and it seems that standard demiticles are not visible in the serum. But nevertheless, it slides! This happens especially actively when the serum acts as the “bottom layer”.

Well, as for moisturizing the skin, I have no complaints about the serum, perhaps because the heating season has just started and real problems with dry skin will overtake me at the end of January-February. Then we’ll laugh and write a real review of this serum.

In the meantime, we use and wave.

My verdict: if you love Vichy cosmetics, you should buy them; now is a special time for this serum. Well, for others, like me, why not, as long as it doesn’t slide, of course, I don’t like it.

Not so long ago, there was an opinion that moisturizing the skin in winter was not only not necessary, but also impossible under any circumstances!

They say that all these moisturizing creams instantly set in the cold, the water in the composition crystallizes and literally tears the skin, in general, blood, intestines, dismemberment... (as if nourishing creams do not contain water, yeah, yeah)

Now (as usual) the respected experts in the field of cosmetology had to change and that’s it, everyone ran in the opposite direction and realized that the cold is not a reason to turn into apricots in winter.

I will not convince anyone or insist on buying Vichy Mineral 89 Fortifying Hydrating and Plumping Daily Booster, I am just sharing my experience and opinion. I hope they are useful to you!

My skin: combined, prone to pore clogging. There are areas with rosacea and age spots (freckles). Like any skin type, I need thorough hydration!

The product is packaged in pleasant, eye-catching packaging. It is double, made of thick cardboard.

The design is beautiful and fresh, like a breath of fresh air for your skin. At least that's what I have.

This is a transparent light gel, completely weightless. It feels like concentrated mineral water!

It spreads easily and is absorbed with lightning speed!

Aroma - No. I don't feel any fragrance, and it seems to me that it would be superfluous here.

I heard a lot of completely opposite opinions. But for me this tool has become very useful!

I didn’t feel any hydration so I applied again! But again the same feeling. I wanted to be disappointed, but continued my experiment. So, after a month of use, my skin, especially in the forehead area, became smoother and more even. And the consumption of funds has decreased sharply. It felt like my dehydrated skin was simply saturated at first!
2. Rovnaya And soft skin - these are not just words. Unfortunately, I did not capture the transformation process, because at that time I did not think that I would write a review. But please take my word for it! Moreover, I am not a fan of Vichy products.
3. In the eye area — the product is approved for use in this area.
4. Does not leave stickiness or films - it's important for me. And this product has such important characteristics.
5. Doesn't conflict with other care.
6. Doesn't clog pores — no inflammation or comedones appeared.
7. Can be used as independent care - I think it’s a good option for the summer. But personally, I always fix the gel serum with cream or light emulsion.
8. Included no alcohol, dyes, parabens.

I advise you to take a closer look at this product if you and I have a similar skin type. Especially suitable for the warm season. It doesn’t overload, but at the same time perfectly moisturizes!
