Goldenrod is a relatively new plant in aromatherapy, despite the fact that it has long been used in folk medicine and has proven itself well in homeopathy.

Bright yellow flowers collected in a panicle give the name to a tall (more than 1 m) herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family. Yellowflower, golden branch, or golden rod is a good late honey plant. The plant is widespread in Europe, Western Siberia, and the Caucasus. Essential oil is obtained from the flowering aerial part of the plant. To obtain 1 kg of aromatic liquid, about 200 kg of freshly cut grass is required. In folk medicine, goldenrod is an effective remedy in the treatment of skin diseases and the gastrointestinal tract. It is believed that it dissolves stones in the kidneys and bladder well, and drives bile.

It was noticed that if you wash your face with goldenrod infusion every day for a month, your skin takes on a healthy appearance and turns pink.

Goldenrod is often planted in front gardens not only as a medicinal plant, but also as an ornamental plant.

Medicinal properties

1. Used for sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis.

8. Used for rheumatism, gout, bone fractures.
9. A good remedy for skin tuberculosis, purulent wounds, ulcers, boils.
10. In folk medicine it is known as an anti-inflammatory, diuretic, stone-dissolving, wound-healing, astringent, choleretic and normalizing water metabolism agent. Used for various skin diseases, sclerosis, cholelithiasis and urolithiasis.
11. Regulates the activity of the nervous system.
12. Suitable for oily skin care. Tightens pores and gives a beautiful tone to the skin.

Prescribed individually by an aromatherapist.

Contraindications. Individual intolerance, pregnancy, acute glomerulonephritis.

Note. Overdose and long-term use can cause pain in the kidneys and bladder area.
