Infarct Ice White

Cerebral infarction is a disease in which blood circulation in the brain tissue is disrupted. In this case, complete or partial death of brain cells is observed. As a result, brain function is impaired, which can lead to death.

White cerebral infarction, also known as gray matter infarction, is one of the most common types of cerebral infarction. It occurs when blood vessels in the central nervous system become clogged, leading to disruption of blood supply.

Cerebral infarction is the result of an acute disturbance of cerebral blood flow caused by hemorrhage into the substance or hemorrhages from small vessels with the formation of hemorrhagic permeation of most of its zone (ischemic variant) or interruption of blood circulation with death of neurons (hemorrhagic variant).

According to the mechanism of development, they distinguish

• **neoatherothrombotic** • strokes with mechanical emboli of small diameter (occlusion of one or more terminal branches of the middle cerebral artery with subsequent occlusion of the posterior communicating artery) • **cardioembolic** (due to cardiogenic embolism by blood clots formed in the left ventricle of the heart) • **atheroembolic** (with large blood flow in small arteries brain and blockage with a blood clot).

The main causes of cerebral infarction: * **Vascular causes:** atherogenic dyslipidemia (high levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol in the blood plasma, LDL (“bad” cholesterol), thrombus, preventing blood flow to the brain.Insufficient blood circulation to the brain, which can be caused by arterial hypertension, as well as the age of a person over 65 years old.

* **Inflammatory:** Massive transmural bacteria
