Couperose

The disease begins as a result of stagnation in the capillaries of the upper layer of the skin, often caused by its increased sensitivity. In normal cases, you can notice signs of redness in the nose, cheeks, and in some cases, the forehead. Subsequently, a bright vascular network appears on the face.

The disease can manifest itself in a person on its own or be inherited. In most cases, people do not pay attention to the first signs of the disease and it goes into an acute stage. Anything that leads to stagnation of blood circulation in the capillaries of the skin can complicate the disease.

Causes

  1. Heredity. If one of the parents suffers from severe manifestations of the disease, then the likelihood of its occurrence in children is quite high.
  2. Ultraviolet irradiation - excessive exposure to direct sunlight, visiting a solarium, leads not only to general photoaging of the skin, but also to damage to the vascular walls.
  3. Temperature changes. Exposure to excessively low and high temperatures negatively affects the condition of tissues. Even a single mild frostbite can lead to illness. In “hot shop” workers, vascular networks appear even on rough, thick male skin.
  4. Alcohol. The pronounced vascular network on the face of a “typical alcoholic” is familiar to everyone. Of course, alcoholism is far from the only cause of rosacea, but it is an important one. Moreover, we are talking not only about alcohol abuse, but also about its use in very moderate quantities.
  5. Smoking. Everyone knows that smoking has a detrimental effect on the cardiovascular system. The smallest capillaries of the face are also vessels and they suffer not least from smoking.
  6. Liver diseases, hypertension - rosacea can be one of the external manifestations of internal diseases.
  7. Incorrect care. Carrying out aggressive cosmetic procedures can thin and dehydrate the skin, cause direct injury to its blood vessels, or increase susceptibility to other factors.

How to avoid

  1. There is no need to expose your skin to strong temperature changes.
  2. Do not eat very hot and spicy foods.
  3. Quit smoking. Everyone knows that smoking impairs blood flow; every cigarette can negatively affect the body.
  4. Completely eliminate alcohol from the diet; it dilates blood vessels, which is also unsafe for blood vessels.
  5. On clear days, it is better to avoid direct sunlight on the skin.
  6. Eliminate coffee and chocolate from your diet.
  7. You need to become calmer and stop being nervous.
  8. During stress, the main vessels are compressed, and the pressure rises and blood circulation in the body increases greatly; therefore, the vessels cannot withstand such strong pressure.

Prevention

You need to carefully monitor your face so as not to miss changes. The skin constantly requires moisture, as it lacks it. When washing, use mild detergents, warm water, and do not expose the skin to contrasting temperatures, this can only enhance the effect of rosacea. If the skin is very dry, then it is better to use dairy products: milk or cream will help best. Various moisturizing creams help very well in the fight against this disease; almost all will do, except those that contain honey.
