Abscess Subuterine

A retrouterine abscess is a purulent inflammation of the walls of the pelvis and adjacent tissues, occurring at the site of a small uterine opening, from where a wide canal directly begins in the fatty tissue. In some sources, this abscess is referred to as small or posterior colpitis. The term comes from the Latin “retrahere” - extraction.
