Adenopapillomatosis

Adenopapillomatosis is a benign neoplasm characterized by the proliferation of glandular tissue with the formation of multiple papillomas.

With adenopapillomatosis, proliferation of the glandular epithelium occurs with the formation of multiple branched outgrowths in the form of papillomas. These papillomas are covered with columnar or cubic epithelium and contain connective tissue stroma with blood vessels.

Most often, adenopapillomatosis occurs in the mammary gland, less often in the sweat and salivary glands. The main diagnostic method is histological examination of the biopsy specimen.

If adenopapillomatosis is detected, surgical treatment is performed - excision of the affected area. The prognosis for adenopapillomatosis is favorable, relapses after complete excision are rare.
