Adoniside Dry

Adoniside dry is a drug from the group of cardiotonic drugs and belongs to the cardiac glycosides.

The main active ingredient of adonizide dry is adonitoxin, a glycoside isolated from the Adonis vernalis plant. Adonizide has a positive inotropic effect, increases the strength of heart contractions, and increases minute blood volume. The drug improves blood supply to the myocardium and eliminates heart rhythm disturbances.

Adoniside dry is used for chronic heart failure, conduction and heart rhythm disorders. The drug is prescribed orally, the course of treatment is selected individually.

Adoniside has a cumulative effect; with prolonged use, toxic reactions may develop. Regular monitoring of ECG and blood tests is necessary. The drug is contraindicated in cases of severe rhythm disturbances, coronary artery disease, and myocardial hypertrophy.
