Algipor is a drug developed by Russian manufacturers Arkhangelsk Experimental Plant and Palma. It belongs to the group of nitrofuran-derived antimicrobial agents and is used to treat various types of wounds and ulcers.
The dosage form of Algipora is presented in sheets of sizes 40x50x10mm, 60x100x10mm, 150x160x10mm and 135x250x10mm, packed in sealed packages. The main components of the drug are sodium alginate, calcium gluconate and furatsilin.
Indications for the use of Algipor include superficial burns of II-III degree, deep burns with a wet scab and copious exudate, sluggish post-burn wounds and ulcers, as well as trophic ulcers and bedsores.
There are no contraindications to the use of Algipor, however, sometimes in some areas the drug may not turn into a gel-like mass and thicken, forming a crust that can be painlessly removed. A burning sensation in the wound is also possible.
There is no data on interaction and overdose of Algipor. There were also no special instructions for the use of the drug.
