Alopecia circularis is the rarest type of alopecia, in which hair loss occurs on the entire head. Hair loss occurs symmetrically towards the midline. And the hair that has already formed around the bald spots acquires a normal appearance and color. The circularity of the loss is due to the anatomical features of the structure of the dermal papilla. It is more common on the scalp near the ears, less often on the lateral surfaces of the back of the head. The treatment is surgical and leaves no cosmetic defects. Differential diagnosis is made with anthropogenic alopecia.
