Amoeba

Amoebas are one of the most common and interesting representatives of the protist kingdom, which belongs to the kingdom of eukaryotic (nuclear) organisms. This name refers to cells consisting of a thin membrane and a nucleus. The nucleus contains many molecules of DNA, or genetic material, which is responsible for determining the individual traits and functions of amoebae.

The main characteristic of amoebas is the ability to move. Most types of amoebas move with the help of a flagellum or cilium, which are formed by a special system of tissue fibers. The structure of the flagellum is based on microfilaments - long thin threads of protein. ATP molecules
