Amiodarone-Acre

Amiodarone-Acri: An effective antiarrhythmic agent that slows repolarization

Amiodarone-Akri is an antiarrhythmic drug developed in Russia by the Akrikhin HFC company. Its active substance, amiodarone, is widely used to treat various cardiac arrhythmias. This drug belongs to the group of antiarrhythmic drugs that slow down the repolarization of cardiac cells.

Amiodarone-Acri is available in the form of tablets with a dosage of 200 mg of amiodarone. It is used to treat severe arrhythmias such as atrial and ventricular premature beats, WPW syndrome, atrial flutter and fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation and others. It can also be used to treat arrhythmias that occur due to coronary or heart failure, as well as in patients with Chagas myocarditis.

However, there are some contraindications to the use of the drug. It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to amiodarone or iodine, thyroid dysfunction, sinus bradycardia, AV block, sinus insufficiency syndrome, severe cardiac conduction disorders and cardiogenic shock.

Amiodarone-Acri can cause various side effects. Some of them include retinal microdetachments, optic neuritis, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonitis, pleurisy, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, hyper- or hypothyroidism, nausea, vomiting, liver dysfunction, peripheral neuropathies and/or myopathies, extrapyramidal tremor, ataxia, cranial hypertension, nightmares, bradycardia, asystole, alopecia, epididymitis, anemia, photosensitivity and allergic reactions.

It is important to consider the interaction of Amiodarone-Acri with other drugs. For example, it may enhance the effect of indirect anticoagulants and digitalis preparations. In addition, it may increase the concentration of cyclosporine in the blood. Beta blockers may increase the risk of hypotension and bradycardia when used concomitantly with Amiodarone-Acri. It is also incompatible with calcium channel blockers.

In case of an overdose of Amiodarone-Acri, serious symptoms may occur, such as cardiac arrhythmia, hypotension, bradycardia, syncope and others. In case of overdose, seek medical help immediately.

Amiodarone-Acri is a strong and effective antiarrhythmic drug, but its use must be under medical supervision. Patients must strictly follow the doctor's dosage instructions and undergo regular follow-up examinations.
