Amygdalar

The amygdala (tonsil) is an unpaired organ at the cerebral end of the diencephalon. The amygdala is bounded externally by the substance of the brain, and inferiorly by the hypothalamus. Below it is the geniculate gyrus. The corpus callosum is adjacent to the amygdala medially.
