Anuresis

**Anuresis, or Enuresis in children** is a condition in which a child is unable to hold urine or begins to urinate unexpectedly during sleep.

The prevalence of enuresis varies from 5 to 26% in preschool children and from 1 to 4% in schoolchildren, depending on the social status of the family, standard of living, parental education and place of residence of the child. Situations when a child urinates outside the home can occur when falling asleep, during deep sleep, or suddenly while resting.
