Arachnoiditis Cerebral

Arachnoid meningitis (aramnozydit cherebrovnyy) is an acute infectious disease of the central nervous system. It is characterized by inflammation of the soft membranes of the brain and meningeal phenomena, usually developing against the background of purulent inflammation of the meninges, skull bones or intracranial structures. Focal symptoms (meningitis, encephalitis) are possible. Etiology and pathogenesis. The cause of the disease is viruses, most often H1N1 influenza, Haemophilus influenzae, and meningococcus. Less common are tuberculous, syphilitic, staphylococcal and fungal arachnoiditis of the central nervous system.
