Essence.
Hare rennet has all the effects mentioned in the chapter on rennet, but it acts more gently and better and has even additional properties.
Cosmetics.
The blood of a hare reduces freckles, and the ashes of its head are an excellent cure for the “fox” disease, but in this case the sea hare is especially good.
The belly of a hare, taken as it is, that is, with all the entrails, and burned in a frying pan, turns into a means for growing hair on the head; the ash is ground into powder and mixed with rose oil when consumed.
Tools with joints.
Fried hare brain helps with tremors that appear after illness.
Organs of the head.
If you rub hare's brain on children's gums, it has the property of accelerating the growth of teeth. Hare's brain is a painless laxative - also due to its special properties - and has the same effect if dissolved in ghee or butter or honey. If you drink hare rennet with vinegar, it helps against epilepsy.
Eruption organs.
If you drink hare rennet in vinegar for three days after a monthly cleansing, it prevents conception and removes moisture flowing from the uterus. Fried hare blood helps against abrasions and tumors in the intestines, as well as chronic diarrhea.
Poisons.
Hare rennet with vinegar serves as an antidote to poisons, and fried hare blood helps against the poison of Armenian arrows.
