Arteries Palatine Small

The arteries of the palate, or palatine arteries, are vessels of the midbrain that bring blood to the substances and structures of the reticular formation (RF). Their main branch runs along the midline, before wedging into the sphenopalatine fissure, it branches at the anterior border of the medial plate of the palate, gives branches in the pterygopalatine canals and here splits into four sides: the anterior two do not reach the edge, and the posterior two diverge widely.
