ACC-Ratiopharm: anti-inflammatory drug based on acetylsalicylic acid

ACC-Ratiopharm is an anti-inflammatory drug, a derivative of salicylic acid, which is widely used in medicine to treat various diseases. It is produced by Ratiopharm GmbH in Germany and has the international name - acetylsalicylic acid.

The drug ACC-Ratiopharm is available in the form of tablets containing 500 mg of the active substance - acetylsalicylic acid. It is used to treat rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious-allergic myocarditis, as well as to reduce fever in infectious and inflammatory diseases.

The drug is also effective for the treatment of pain of various etiologies, including headache, migraine, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia and algodismenorrhea. It can be used for the prevention of thrombosis and thromboembolism, as well as for secondary prevention of myocardial infarction and coronary heart disease.

The drug ACC-Ratiopharm has some contraindications, including hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute phase, gastrointestinal bleeding, “aspirin” asthma, bleeding disorders, vitamin K deficiency, severe renal failure, the first trimester of pregnancy and lactation. The drug should be used with caution in patients with gout, liver disease and children under 12 years of age with hyperthermia due to viral diseases.

When using the drug ACC-Ratiopharm, some side effects may occur, including nausea, anorexia, gastralgia, diarrhea, erosive and ulcerative lesions and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, allergic reactions, renal and/or liver failure, thrombocytopenia and others. With long-term use of the drug ACC-Ratiopharm, dizziness, headache, reversible visual impairment, tinnitus, vomiting, bleeding and other side effects may occur.

The drug ACC-Ratiopharm can interact with other drugs, enhancing the effect of heparin, oral anticoagulants, reserpine, steroid hormones and oral antidiabetic agents. It may also reduce the effectiveness of methotrexate and digoxin. Therefore, before starting to take the drug ACC-Ratiopharm, you must consult your doctor and inform him about all the medications you are taking.

In general, the drug ACC-Ratiopharm is an effective and widely used anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent. However, like any other drug, it has its contraindications and side effects, so it should be used only as prescribed by a doctor and following the recommendations for dosage and use.
