Balanitis Pustular-Ulcerative

Balanitis is an inflammatory disease of the external genitalia in men associated with infection. The pathology mainly affects the head and inner part of the foreskin, less often balanoposthitis develops with the spread of inflammation to the tissue of the inner layer of the foreskin and paraurethral passages.

Balanitis is an inflammation of the glans penis, accompanied by swelling and hyperemia, the formation of ulcers, erosions or small blisters. The cause of inflammation is both a bacterial infection and a violation of tissue trophism (lack of blood supply) during general or local hypothermia, local injuries, microtraumas of the skin when wearing tight underwear, as well as during sexual excess. Due to inflammation, an accumulation of pus may occur in the thickness of the skin of the glans penis and/or in the preputial sac - coronal granuloma or vesiculitis.
