Benedict Proba is an American biochemist known for his research in microbiology, biochemistry, and cell metabolism. He was born on January 21, 1889 in Knockshott, New York, USA.
In 1911, Proba graduated from the University at Buffalo and began his career in biology. During his career, Proba received many awards and prizes for his scientific achievements. In 1927 he was awarded the Gullam-Darwin Award for his work on cellular metabolism.
