Benzodiazepines

Benzodiazepines are a group of psychotropic drugs that have anxiolytic, sedative, hypnotic, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant effects.

Benzodiazepines include drugs such as chlozepid (Elenium, chlordiazepoxide), sibazon (diazepam, seduxen, relanium), nozepam (oxazepam, tazepam), nitrazepam (radedorm) and others.

The main toxic effect of benzodiazepines is psychotropic and neurotoxic. The lethal dose is 1-2 g, but large individual differences are observed.
