Berger's Disease

**Berger's disease** is a chronic diffuse proliferative kidney disease, manifested by symptoms of hemorrhagic cystitis and hematuria. Hematuria is unstable, proteinuria with uremia is usually small. The functional state of the kidneys remains satisfactory for a long time. Proteinuria reaches a significant level several months or years before the development of azotemia, which serves as the basis for differential diagnosis with nephropathy caused by microembolic processes in small and medium-sized renal vessels. Characterized by hematuria, macroproteinuria, minor anemia and hypertension. With focal inflammation of the bladder mucosa, hemorrhages are found in the lumen of its mouth, characterized by pain and occasional intermittent leukocyturia. In some cases, pyuria is observed even in the absence of pronounced leukocyte fields in the urine. The local inflammatory process is usually accompanied by more severe pain than with interstitial lesions. Complications – dysuria, uremic crises, obstructive uropathy. Diagnosis: based on medical history, clinical and laboratory parameters, ultrasound, cystoscopy, biopsy. Treatment: cytostatic therapy, diet
