Borderless cells are microorganisms that live in freshwater bodies of Russia. These are single-celled bacteria characterized by the presence of flagella, thanks to which they can move through the water column. The size of these microbes reaches several hundred micrometers. Limitless cells are small, oval in shape and located at the bottom in places where plant remains and algae accumulate. They are one of the important components of the process of self-purification of water in reservoirs, as they process organic residues that other bacteria cannot decompose.
