Beye gastropexy

Gastropexy is a surgical procedure to reposition the stomach and other abdominal organs. The procedure is usually performed in the case of a hiatal hernia (HH), a protrusion of the abdominal wall along with all internal organs. If the upper part of the diaphragm experiences excessive pressure from the intestine itself or displacement of the abdominal organs, then it bends inward, which can cause gastroesophageal reflux, ulcers, and gallstones. Gastropexy can be performed through an open approach or through a puncture.
