Bisacodyl-Nizhpharm is a drug belonging to the group of synthetic laxatives. Produced in Russia by Nizhpharm. The active ingredient is bisacodyl. The medicine is available in the form of suppositories with a dosage of 10 mg.
The main use of Bisacodyl-Nizhpharm is the treatment of chronic constipation of various etiologies, as well as cleansing the intestines before diagnostic and surgical interventions.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to bisacodyl, strangulated hernia, intestinal obstruction, spastic constipation, hemorrhoids, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract and uterine tract, cystitis, as well as in children under 1 year of age. Restrictions on use: liver and/or kidney failure, pregnancy.
When using Bisacodyl-Nizhpharm, dyspeptic disorders, pain in the epigastrium or throughout the entire abdominal area, and allergic reactions may occur.
There is no data on the interaction of Bisacodyl-Nizhpharm with other drugs.
An overdose of Bisacodyl-Nizhpharm can lead to diarrhea with loss of large amounts of fluid and electrolytes, as well as muscle weakness and cramps. Treatment in this case should be symptomatic.
