Bladder-vaginal fistula

Umbilical-vesical fistula is a pathological anastomosis between the bladder and the abdominal esophagus. Most often it occurs during surgical treatment of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm (hernia repair). The diagnosis is confirmed by a survey x-ray examination. The basis for diagnosis is the detection of intestinal contents in the bladder. To treat a fistula, electrosurgery, cryotherapy, suturing, drainage of the fistula tract followed by sclerosis or plastic surgery of the anastomosis are used.
