Botox between eyebrows reviews photos

The cosmetic procedure of introducing Botox to the forehead and in the area between the eyebrows allows you to prolong beauty and youth. Reviews from cosmetologists and clients show how effective the procedure is and has a long-lasting result for facial rejuvenation.

What is Botox and how does it work?

The uniqueness of Botox injections to eliminate eyebrow wrinkles allows you to even out the skin or adjust its depth. Botox is a toxin that blocks nerve impulses that regulate muscle contraction. As a result, facial movements are inhibited for a certain period. The muscles are in a relaxed position, do not wrinkle or stretch the skin, and the wrinkles themselves are smoothed out. Botox is a safe drug for health, which is completely eliminated from the body some time after the injection.

After the procedure, side effects may occur, which manifest themselves in symptoms:

  1. swelling;
  2. hematomas;
  3. headache;
  4. nausea;
  5. allergy.

If injections are given too close to the eyes, dry eyes may occur. Over the course of some days, all symptoms disappear, after which the final result can be seen. And if the drug is administered incorrectly, there is a risk of drooping eyebrows or eyelids, muscle paralysis, and impaired facial expressions. Complications disappear after 2 months. To speed up the improvement in appearance after complications occur, it is necessary to do lymphatic drainage massage or other procedures under the strict supervision of a physiotherapist.

The formation of wrinkles between the eyebrows indicates negative events in life. Therefore, it is not surprising, but such folds are most often called “wrinkles of anger” or “wrinkles of suffering.” Thus, to change the frowning appearance, Botox injections are recommended.

Interesting! Complications after Botox appear due to incorrect dosage or non-compliance with the technique of administering the drug.

Techniques for Botox injections between the eyebrows

Before injections, the correction area is numbed with a special cream, the effect of which begins to last after 15-20 minutes. The injection procedure itself takes no more than 30 minutes, with the patient in a sitting position with the back of the head fixed. Botox is injected between the eyebrows with thin short needles at 4 or 6 points. Injections are made at an angle of 45 0 or 90 0. To determine the injection points, you need to grimace a little. Then a cold compress is applied, which helps to constrict the blood vessels.

There is a certain method of administering the drug, during which the forehead is completely immobilized or injections are given with further preservation of facial expressions. A classic injection is given deep into the muscle at the point of greatest tension. The action of the drug spreads over a diameter of 1 - 1.5 cm. As a result, the muscles relax and the skin remains motionless. Another type of technique is done to a depth of 2 mm into the subcutaneous layers. In some cases, the 2 techniques are combined.

It is recommended to follow certain rules to prevent complications:

  1. do not lie down or bow your head for 4 hours;
  2. do not touch the injection area with your hands;
  3. do not use cosmetics for 24 hours;
  4. exclude all activities (sports, physical activity, sex) for a few days;
  5. exclude all thermal procedures (saunas, sunbathing) for a week;
  6. do not drink alcohol for 15 days;
  7. avoid massage and facial myostimulation for 30 days;
  8. refrain from taking antibiotics and B vitamins.

Important! If, after finishing the injections, hematomas appear, then it is necessary to apply a special cream.

Indications and contraindications

Injections are made for early and middle signs of aging, the age period covers from 30 to 60 years. Indications for the use of Botox are the presence of:

  1. horizontal and vertical wrinkles on the bridge of the nose;
  2. facial asymmetry;
  3. horizontal wrinkles in the forehead;
  4. crow's feet (wrinkles in the outer corners of the eyes).

Botox to eliminate glabellar wrinkles is contraindicated for:

  1. pregnancy or lactation;
  2. diabetes mellitus;
  3. up to 18 years old;
  4. diseases in acute form or in the presence of inflammatory processes;
  5. allergies to a drug component;
  6. epilepsy;
  7. blood clotting problems;
  8. autoimmune disease;
  9. cuts, wounds in the selected area.

The cosmetologist should tell you about the rules of skin care after the procedure, as well as the rules of behavior in order to eliminate possible negative consequences.

Average number of units

Before administering Botox, it is necessary to conduct a consultation, during which it is necessary to inform the cosmetologist about the use of medications, the presence of diseases, and the characteristics of the body.

The specialist evaluates facial activity in the frontal region, which allows you to select the required amount of the drug. If the skin is sufficiently elastic and the wrinkles are not deep, then use a minimal amount of the drug. The client’s personal wishes are also taken into account, for example, at what distance to place the eyebrows, whether to remove all wrinkles or leave some. It is practiced to administer a minimal amount of the drug when performing a cosmetic procedure for the first time. Then, after 3-4 weeks, the dose is adjusted at a second session, and if necessary, an additional dose of the substance is administered.

Between the eyebrows

The required amount of Botox, which is injected between the eyebrows, ranges from 10-25 units. When the space between the eyebrows is filled, the outermost part of the eyebrow may rise slightly, which creates a defect in appearance. In this case, there is a need to perform injections in the frontal part.

When injecting Botox into the forehead to eliminate wrinkles, 10-50 units are injected. It all depends on the area where the wrinkles are located, if only on the forehead, then less than 10-30 units of the drug is needed, between the eyebrows and the frontal part, then 20-50 units.

The effect of Botox in the forehead area will be uniform if the injected drug is of the same volume. To avoid the drug falling onto the eyes, it is necessary to give injections at a distance of 2 cm from the arches of the eyebrows. When giving beauty injections, the fit of the eyebrows is taken into account. If they are low-set, which is often typical for men, then it is necessary to adjust the dose of the drug so as not to aggravate the peculiarity of facial features.

Worth paying attention! When planning cosmetic procedures, in order to avoid negative consequences, it is important to maintain order. Eyebrow tattooing is done after Botox injections.

We suggest looking at the behavioral features of the forehead injection procedure:

results

To obtain the desired result, it is necessary to carry out the procedure by professional cosmetologists. After the injection, the skin is smoothed, wrinkles are removed or become less noticeable. Water and salt balance improves, collagen and elastin production increases. The Botox procedure brings long-lasting results (from 4-6 months). After 2-4 days you can see the effectiveness of the procedure, and after 14-20 days the final effect of the drug is consolidated.

But in some cases it is necessary to contact a specialist again for correction. For certain reasons, instead of the desired result, negative consequences of Botox are observed that require correction. This may happen:

  1. distortion of facial features;
  2. accumulation of the drug in one place downwards or other unnatural changes.

The correction is carried out 3-4 weeks after the procedure itself.

Reviews

Botox between the eyebrows lasts a long period, but exactly how long depends on the correctness of the client’s actions and on the individual characteristics of the body. Customer reviews indicate the effectiveness of the procedure for eliminating facial wrinkles on the forehead.

Many people note how their appearance improves, their skin becomes smoother, their eyebrows rise, and their eyes become more expressive. Even deep wrinkles become less noticeable. Despite the fact that in some cases women experience side effects (headaches, swelling), they are satisfied with the result and intend to continue further procedures.

I am glad to welcome you again, my dear readers. Who doesn't dream of prolonging their youth? How you don’t want wrinkles to appear on your face. Unfortunately, this process is inevitable. But thank God, nowadays there are a lot of options for preserving youth. And one of them is Botox for the face, of course there are different reviews about this procedure. I can’t say that everything is super positive. So let's look at the pros and cons together.

What is Botox and how does it work?

It was discovered by American scientists in the 19th century. At that time, they were looking for the cause of botulism (an infection of the nervous system). As you understand, the substance was not initially studied for use in cosmetology. The word comes from the American botox, so it is correct to pronounce botox, not botex.

This is an A-type neurotoxin, its basis is a protein produced by the microorganism Clostridium botulinum

It is the causative agent of such a dangerous disease as botulism. At the beginning of the 20th century, scientists were able to isolate a toxin from this microbe. In animal testing, the toxin was noted to relieve muscle spasms and squints. When the toxin entered the muscles, it blocked their contraction. Simply put, it caused muscle paralysis.

In 1978, clinical trials of drugs based on this toxin began. Ten years later, the American company Allergan began producing drugs with Botox. They were used to treat strabismus and blepharospasm.

Scientists noticed that in patients receiving injections, facial wrinkles were smoothed out. It has been proven that the drug is absolutely safe in therapeutic doses. And for more than 30 years it has been successfully used in cosmetology.

Dysport is also used in cosmetology for these purposes. In essence, this is the same Botox, the only difference is the concentration of the toxin. There is less of it in Dysport and this drug is produced by the French company Ipsen.

Toxin injections are administered to areas of increased muscle tone. Botox is administered subcutaneously, intradermally and intramuscularly. The doctor decides exactly how to inject and in which area. Of course, many are interested in when Botox begins to work after injection. Visible changes occur within 3-4 days. The maximum result from the introduction of the toxin appears after 2-3 weeks.

Reviews about the procedure, as well as before and after photos

In order to understand how effective this rejuvenation method is, I collected reviews. And for a visual example, I have prepared a photo for you. Honestly, some of the photos are truly amazing. It feels like the person is 10 years younger 🙂

Lily: I constantly wrinkle my forehead and frown. As a result, glabellar and horizontal wrinkles appeared. I was injected with Botex in these places - my forehead is smooth, the effect is simply super! Hyaluronic acid can fill deep folds. But for facial expressions, Botox is still the answer.

Aster: Recently I was injected for facial wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes and in the area of the bridge of the nose. There are no problems with facial expressions, but wrinkles do not appear. I liked it and will make it again.

Daisy: I was terribly afraid of these injections! Honestly... I almost fainted right at the doctor, I even sniffed ammonia. If you are afraid, calm down. the injection is similar to a mosquito bite. But it's worth it. I now have a very smooth forehead. I can wince, but no wrinkles form. Hurray, that's what I wanted))

Camilla: It is enough for me to inject myself once a year. I use it in the summer because I often wince in the sun. The effect lasts for a long time, maybe because I’m still 30 years old... I don’t think I’m old..))

Marina: I also injected it in the forehead area, the effect lasted for 6 months. Then all the wrinkles returned, it didn’t get any worse. just the way it was

Olesya: I was advised to inject Dysport between the eyebrows. I didn’t notice much difference with Botox. Now I can’t wrinkle my eyebrows and forehead. I really hope that the muscles will get used to not wrinkle when the effect of the drug wears off.

Margot: I was given injections into the forehead and eye area. I was delighted. somehow my whole face looked younger. They were afraid that it would be worse later, I don’t know... the action went away, everything returned as it was. The only drawback is that the effect lasted a little more than six months... although it was probably my own fault, I drank alcohol and a lot of water... The difference before and after is very noticeable, despite my 33 years. I will continue to inject

Where is Botox injected and how much does the injection cost?

Now let's talk about where the toxin can be injected and what its effectiveness is, especially after 40 years. Typically, injections are administered into the forehead, eyebrows, nasolabial folds, lips, and under the eyes. You can also use the toxin to lift the tip of your nose and eyebrows.

Before the procedure, the amount of toxin is measured in units. How many units of Botox do you need? For each zone the number of units is different. It also depends on the condition of the skin and wrinkles, so the dosage is selected individually. I will give the average values.

Drug administration area Botox units Action of the toxin price, rub.

(average)

Forehead 15-30 units Botox injections into the forehead correct the eyebrow line and smooth out wrinkles. 5000 rubles Between eyebrows 10-20 units Vertical wrinkles are smoothed out. If they are not deep, then even after the toxin wears off, they do not appear for a long time. 4000–4500 rubles Nasolabial folds 10-20 units Botox in its pure form is rarely used, because there is a high risk of drooping corners of the mouth. Smoothing of deep nasolabial areas occurs with injections of Botox with collagen. And also with hyaluronic acid. 3000-8000 rubles Lip area 5-20 units Botox for lips allows you to eliminate asymmetry, lift the corners, and get rid of wrinkles. To enlarge lips, it is used together with hyaluronic acid. 800-8000 rubles Orbicularis oculi muscle 6-15 units “Crow’s feet” are smoothed out, deep skin creases become less noticeable. Also, an injection into this area allows you to raise your eyebrows.

4500-6000 rubles The transition zone of the nose to the upper lip is 2-4 units. Allows you to slightly raise the tip of the nose. 600-1600 rubles

Calculate the approximate cost of injections based on the price of 300-400 rubles per unit of toxin. Dysport is approximately half the price.

You can find these procedures at a good discount on Biglion and Groupon. I recommend looking at the options on these sites first. So it’s better to ask the price, and read the reviews of those who have already tried it.

Is Botox harmful for the face?

Now let's figure out why Botox is harmful to the face. Negative consequences usually occur when the drug is used incorrectly. It is very important to correctly calculate the dose and location for introducing the toxin. Professionalism depends on the cosmetologist, his experience and understanding of which points to inject. The most harmless complications are bruising, swelling and redness at the sites of botulinum toxin injection.

Other side effects may include:

  1. headache;
  2. pain in the injection area;
  3. waxy face (complete lack of facial expressions);
  4. penetration of botulinum toxin into neighboring muscles;
  5. nausea, double vision;
  6. Quincke's edema;
  7. flu symptoms;
  8. drooping eyelid or eyebrow.

Doctors often keep silent about the dangers of the drug. Of course, such complications occur extremely rarely. Basically, harm to health occurs due to the incompetence of the doctor. Or this may be due to the body’s individual reaction to the drug. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict this in advance.

The consequences of Botox - reviews

Of course, in addition to favorable assessments after the procedure, there are also negative consequences. In order to study this procedure from all sides, I collected negative results from injections.

Oksana: Unfortunately, I had a negative experience... I was injected with botulinum toxin in the forehead area. This is terrible... instead of smooth skin, I got drooping eyelids and eyebrows. I found another clinic, thank God they fixed everything. It turned out that the first time they injected me with the toxin in the wrong place. The moral is simple - look for a good specialist!

Lusi: My facial expression has changed.. my look has become different, as if you were always walking around in surprise. Thank God the effect of the injection wore off and facial expressions were restored. I definitely won’t be getting any more injections.

Valyushka: I’m having trouble with these beauty injections... I wanted to get rid of the “crow’s feet” on the outer corners of my eyes. The specialist I went to was experienced and did everything correctly. The result was that after two days the bags under the eyes disappeared on the third day. And three weeks later I had Quincke’s edema ((I was admitted to the hospital, the immunologist told me that it was an individual intolerance.. that’s it..

Snezhana: I’m not allergic, but my experience with Botox is extraordinary. A couple of hours after the injections, I was taken away in an ambulance with Quincke's edema. no more injections((

Alenka: I was given injections in the bridge of my nose and eyebrows, it only lasts 4 months. Then it’s all over again, to be honest, it’s terrible to have to have injections three times a year. I completely abandoned this idea.

What not to do after the procedure - restrictions

In order to achieve maximum effect and the result to be visible for a long time, some restrictions must be observed after injections. In the first 4 hours after the procedure, it is necessary to maintain a strictly vertical position. You should not lower your head, this is important for the muscles. After all, after the injection of botulinum toxin, they relax and must take the correct position.

Under no circumstances should you touch the injection sites, massage them, or apply creams. It is important not to introduce infection to the injection sites. All sports are prohibited for at least 48 hours. Even measured fitness yoga and other types of physical activity are prohibited. The muscles should be at rest.

For at least 7 days, and preferably 10-14, any thermal procedures are prohibited. At this time you will have to forget about the solarium, sauna and even drying your hair with a hairdryer. The thing is that heat accelerates the removal of the drug from the body.

Swelling also nullifies the effect of Botox. For the first two weeks, try not to eat salty foods, smoked foods, or drink a lot of liquids.

As for alcohol, it is also prohibited for at least 14 days. Please take this limitation very seriously. Alcohol dilates blood vessels, in this situation botulinum toxin can be easily absorbed into the blood. This is a potentially dangerous situation for the body. Then you shouldn’t be surprised that you have complications. This also applies to blood thinners.

Botox - contraindications

Since botulinum toxin is essentially a poison, it naturally has a number of contraindications. Before listing them, I want to warn you against injections at home. Even an experienced doctor can miss the dose and injection site. What can we say about amateurs?

Trust your face only to an experienced specialist. Restoring facial expressions or, God forbid, treating angioedema will be more expensive. In what cases are Botox injections strictly contraindicated:

  1. chronic diseases of the lungs, liver and kidneys;
  2. hernia of the upper or lower eyelid;
  3. drooping upper eyelid;
  4. neuromuscular diseases of an autoimmune nature;
  5. severe myopia;
  6. poor blood clotting;
  7. oncology;
  8. predisposition to the formation of keloid and hypertrophic scars;
  9. individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

When planning, as well as in the early stages of pregnancy, it is better to avoid injections. Botox during pregnancy can negatively affect the fetus. This is confirmed by more than 40 recorded cases around the world. It is also worth holding off on injections during lactation. In Europe, a study of the toxin was conducted on pregnant rats. There was a negative effect on the fetus; many animals were born with pathologies of muscles and bones. Many pregnant females experienced miscarriages.

A temporary contraindication to beauty injections is fever. Exacerbation of chronic diseases, any infectious diseases, herpes. Recent facial surgery, menstruation period. Taking antibiotics, anticoagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs is also a temporary contraindication.

Well, we figured out why botulinum toxin is harmful. And also after what time you can expect maximum effect. Whether or not to resort to this method of rejuvenation is up to you to decide. If it makes you happy and gives you confidence, it's worth a try.

Yes, in addition to the facial procedure, there is also Botox for hair and Botox for eyelashes. And today I say goodbye to you, but new interesting topics await us ahead. So don't forget to subscribe for updates. Bye everyone!

Julia, Karina and Christina - about their first experience of using Botox, an independent review of the procedure.
Six months ago, three beauty insiders aged 30+ - Yulia, Karina Tumanskaya and Kristina Spivak - decided to undergo their first Botox procedure, reviews of which will be below. All three had it done at the Sharm plastic surgery clinic with doctor Gaik Babayan. Why did they come to this idea, did they like the effect, what surprises did they encounter - and will they repeat it?

Karina Tumanskaya, 30 years old:

I had no doubt that it was time for me to get Botox injections for my face. I have active facial expressions. In addition, due to frequent headaches, a strange habit appeared - raising my eyebrows with force. It seemed to me that this way the pain and feeling of numbness in my forehead would recede a little. As a result, two creases and a network of fine wrinkles formed on the forehead. Having measured the wrinkles with Yulia (who, in my opinion, had none at all) and Christina (barely noticeable small perpendicular ones on the bridge of her nose), I decided that with them it might be a whim, but I simply need Botox :)

The doctor, Hayk Babayan, whom I knew before and trusted him completely, immediately warned me: the creases will not go away completely, they can only be removed with a combination of Botox + fillers. But Botox will save me from the habit of raising my eyebrows: “During the time that the muscles are frozen, they will simply forget about this tic.”

As a result, we decided that we should do 30 units for horizontal wrinkles, 20 for eyebrow wrinkles, and 10 units for crow’s feet.

I have a high pain threshold. That's why I lay on the couch with a smile. In my opinion, Botox doesn't hurt at all. There are minimal unpleasant sensations when the needle enters with some kind of incomprehensible crunch, but they are not painful, but rather irritating.

The whole procedure lasted about 5 minutes. After it, small bumps and redness formed at the injection site, which lasted about 20 minutes. Well, due to thin skin and closely spaced capillaries, I still “grabbed” two small bruises - on the bridge of the nose and on the forehead, which lasted for a week and a half (camouflaged with any foundation at a time).

There are no sensations immediately after Botox. The first two days too. The first signs of freezing had already appeared in Christina and Yulia, and I still sat and waited - at first I even thought that I was among the minimum number of people on whom Botox does not work. But no. After 4 days the forehead “stood up”. This happened gradually and somehow completely naturally - it seemed to me that I would definitely feel the Botox, and the frozen facial expressions would greatly change my appearance. (Yulia also added fuel to the fire with her comments “it seems that I needed a forehead to smile” and “for some reason my eyes are swelling”:)

In fact, I felt my Botox as if it were my own. I still have minimal facial expressions. Yes, I could no longer frown or raise my eyebrows much, but the emotions on my face were clearly visible. Longitudinal wrinkles, as warned, did not completely disappear, but they smoothed out quite significantly. So next time I'll probably add fillers to get rid of them completely. Well, yes, I plan to repeat the Botox itself as the previous one dissolves. I confirm that it’s not scary, and if you’ve been planning for a long time and can’t decide, try it.

Kristina Spivak, 32 years old:

But I’m afraid of needles, injections and doctors. That’s why I was most worried that it would hurt. And lastly, oddly enough, for the result.

Why did you decide to inject? I am 33 years old, my skin is dry, my facial expressions are quite active, transverse wrinkles have formed on the bridge of my nose and longitudinal wrinkles have appeared on my forehead, and I was afraid that they would turn into real creases.

Already on the second day I began to feel the result. The forehead froze gradually and imperceptibly - no feeling of tightness, no “corset on the face.” I simply noticed in the mirror that the emotions of surprise, irritation and anger were now barely detectable. This is not to say that facial expressions disappeared completely, no, they simply became softer and more veiled.

Now 5 months have passed. Botox is gradually dissolving, and I am going for the next procedure - I am no longer afraid of it and I really liked the result.

Yulia Grebenkina, 32 years old:

I started thinking about Botox around the age of 30. Then I began to notice for the first time that longitudinal wrinkles on the forehead were more noticeable than before, and did not always smooth out after an intensive course of moisturizing.

But I finally decided after noticing two things on my face: firstly, wrinkles folded on top of each other in the area above the outer part of the eyebrow, closer to the temples. Secondly, there is a clear drooping of the outer corners of the eyes. That is, of course, to someone from the outside it didn’t seem so obvious, but after 30 years the situation clearly changed by a millimeter or two, and for me it was obvious that the face was “sagging” on the outer sides - a type of aging, like my dad’s .

Gayk assured me of the main thing: if the drug is administered correctly, then the eyebrows can rise again by these couple of millimeters. He didn’t see any serious static wrinkles on my forehead, but he advised me not to drag them out, since they are already visible in facial expressions - and Botox can prevent them, and not save them when a crease has already formed. Plus, I saw in the photo for the blog that I often wrinkled my forehead - and I didn’t like the result, I wanted to remove this movement from everyday life.

The procedure itself is unpleasant, but tolerable. I seem to be the only one who cried - but in general I always cry when they do something on my forehead. The forehead “frozen” gradually - it was a surprise for me that it “rose” for two weeks, I thought immediately. The first interesting observation was that I now cannot smile as usual. Apparently, half of my smile came from the movement of the forehead muscles - but now the smile required effort and activation of some other muscles. It took two or three weeks to get used to it. And then I just stopped noticing anything! My forehead smoothed out and became perfect, well, it’s just everything I need. I walked and thought - well, why were you afraid for so long?

An unpleasant surprise was slight swelling of the lower eyelids after the procedure. The reason is not clear, but the experts I interviewed agreed that Botox slightly disrupted the lymph flow through small vessels. On the other hand, they predicted that the swelling would last as long as the effect of Botox - that is, 4-5 months. And they passed within a month, I didn’t even have time to test all the eyelid creams -)) But I managed to read a lot of reviews on forums about complications from the procedure that can happen even to the most experienced doctor, because no one can cancel the individual reaction.

But nevertheless, my intention to continue doing Botox has not changed - the result is worth it!

Botox began to “unfreeze” for me in December, after 4.5 months. Now it’s January, my forehead mobility has returned by half. When I return to Moscow after vacation, I’ll go for more!

And some facts. We have already written about Botox here and a little here, so we went to the doctor mentally prepared. But some fairly standard questions continued to worry us. If you are also interested in them, the answers are below. If you have already learned everything from your own experience, feel free to skip it.

What is Botox and is it dangerous to inject it?

Botox is a neurotoxin of botulism type A. In fact, it is a very terrible poison. However, the one used in cosmetology is diluted 40,000 times. It will not be possible to administer a lethal dose to you even on purpose :) The only danger is if you went to a not very competent doctor and the drug was injected too close to the nerve or directly into the nerve. This will lead to lowering of the eyebrows, artificial hernias, and facial distortion. But, fortunately, after six months, when the Botox dissolves, everything will return to its place. The scientific world knows nothing about allergies to Botox, but cases have been recorded (very few of them) when the drug simply does not work.

How does Botox work?

Every day we make about 20,000 movements with our facial muscles. Botox causes temporary muscle paralysis, which limits facial expressions. And the less facial expressions, the fewer wrinkles.

How is the procedure done?

The procedure itself lasts about 10 minutes. Emla anesthetic cream is applied to the treated areas, the doctor places small dots, marking the injection sites, and injects the drug under the skin with an insulin syringe. The quantity of the drug and injections is calculated individually. You begin to feel the effect of Botox on day 2-3, the area is completely “set” after 2 weeks. The effect will last from 4 months to 6. Botox is usually injected into the upper part of the face to get rid of forehead wrinkles and crow's feet. For the lower part, fillers are usually used.

Are there any contraindications and what should not be done after administration of the drug?

There are contraindications for absolutely all procedures, and if something bothers you, you should discuss it individually with your doctor. He will also tell you what is undesirable to do after the procedure. Typically, the recommendations are as follows:

  1. do not use cosmetics for the first couple of hours
  2. do not visit baths and saunas in the first few days
  3. do not abuse alcoholic beverages
  4. do not treat injection areas with alcohol-containing products
  5. It is advisable to actively use facial expressions in the first hours after injections, so the drug will begin to act faster. But the widespread belief that after injections you need to take a horizontal position (otherwise the drug will supposedly fall down) is nothing more than a myth. In fact, so little of the drug is injected that gravity has no effect.

We thank the Sharm plastic surgery clinic and surgeon Gaik Pavlovich Babayan.
