Brahmahari Reaction

Bramahari Reaction is a method for determining the concentration of glucose in the blood, proposed by the Indian doctor Bramahari. This method was developed in 1929 and is still used today to measure blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.

Brahmahari The reaction is based on the interaction of glucose and the enzyme glucose oxidase, which is found in red blood cells. When glucose is added to the blood, glucose oxidase begins to oxidize the glucose, resulting in the formation of glucose oxidase. This change in the color of the solution allows the concentration of glucose in the blood to be determined.

To carry out the Brahmahari Reaction, a special kit is used, which contains all the necessary reagents and equipment. The patient must donate blood from a vein and place it in a test tube with reagents. The test tube is then placed in a thermostat for a certain time, after which the change in color of the solution is measured.

The accuracy of the Bramahari Reaction depends on many factors, such as the quality of the reagents, the correctness of the procedure, etc. However, this method is one of the most accurate and widely used for determining blood glucose levels.
