Bronchial Tree

The bronchial tree is a complex system of branched bronchi that form the airways in the lungs. It consists of two main branches: large and small bronchi. The large bronchi begin from the trachea and end in the lungs, and the small bronchi begin from the large bronchi and branch into smaller and smaller bronchi, down to the terminal bronchioles, which end in the alveoli.

The bronchial tree plays an important role in human respiration. It ensures the transfer of air from the trachea to the lungs, where gas exchange occurs between air and blood. In addition, the bronchial tree is involved in clearing the lungs of dust, germs and other pollutants.

Damage to the bronchial tree can lead to various diseases such as asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis and lung cancer. To prevent these diseases, it is necessary to monitor the health of the respiratory tract and lungs, undergo regular medical examinations and follow the doctor’s recommendations.
