**Bronchogenic** is a word used in medicine to designate a process or condition associated with the formation of a malignant tumor or carcinoma in the bronchi or bronchial mucus. This term comes from the combination of two words of ancient Greek origin - “bronchi” and “generating”.
Causes of bronchial carcinoma
There are several reasons that can lead to the formation of bronchial carcinoma. One of the main reasons is smoking cigarettes and using other tobacco products. Smoking can cause toxins and harmful chemicals to accumulate in the lungs, which in turn increases the risk of developing lung cancer.
