Peritoneum Parietal

The peritoneum is one of the main internal organs of a person, which covers all the organs of the abdominal cavity from the inside. The peritoneum is located on the posterior fornix of the anterior abdominal wall and adjacent areas of the retroperitoneal space. The abdominal wall consists of connective tissue rich in blood vessels and nerves. It is attached to the superficial fascia, covering the parietal peritoneum. Throughout its entire length, the peritoneum is covered on the abdominal side by a serous membrane - the pericardium (at the liver), the mesoperitoneal layer (half of the entire intestinal tract), and the mesomesenteric layer (the remaining parts of the intestine). Thus, the peritoneum, which is the sheets of serous membranes, protects everything from damage. The abdominal wall is divided into two floors according to the plan of defects - upper and lower. At the bottom of the upper pelvis, under the parsley, there is a paired cecum. In the interintestinal space there is an omental bursa (Omental cavity). There is no omental bursa in the right half of the abdominal cavity.
