Bunge Amputation

Bunge amputation is a surgical method of treating vascular pathology of the lower extremities, which is used when conservative therapy is ineffective. The intervention is mainly performed on elderly patients due to the high risk to their health. Amputations are also indicated when purulent-inflammatory processes occur on a limb, as well as if it is impossible to carry out complete prosthetics. However, given the risks and complications of the operation, it is recommended to weigh the pros and cons before agreeing.
