Kapofarm: Russian drug for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure

The use of the drug is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to its components, as well as in case of anamnestic evidence of the development of Quincke's edema after taking angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors. Contraindications also include primary hyperaldosteronism, pregnancy and lactation. In cases where the patient has certain diseases or conditions, such as leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, arterial stenosis or severe renal impairment, the use of Kapopharm should be assessed taking into account the risk-benefit ratio.

When using Kapofarm, a number of side effects may occur that can affect various body systems. Some of the possible side effects include fatigue, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, depression, ataxia, visual and olfactory disturbances.

The cardiovascular system and hematopoiesis may also be susceptible to certain side effects, such as hypotension (including orthostatic hypotension), tachycardia, arrhythmia, angioedema, bleeding, agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia and others.
