Cementoexostosis

Small bone tumors or focal bone growths located on the surface of the periosteum (periosteum) can sometimes arise as a result of mineralization of the tissue of the intercellular substance of the periosteum. At first, these growths have a soft consistency and a red-pink color, but then gradually harden and acquire a characteristic yellowish color. From the point of view of dental surgeons, cement-like growths in the lower jaw are dangerous due to their hardness and the possibility of traumatizing surrounding tissues and interdental septa.
