**Chaklina operation** is a surgical intervention in the pelvic area, which is used to eliminate a hernia of the umbilical cord in newborns. In most cases, this operation is necessary to save the baby's life and to prevent the development of complications such as paralysis or asphyxia.

Description Chakline initially performed the operation on himself (August 27, 1907) and proposed it as an alternative to trepanation. The essence of the operation was to remove the entire ischiorectal canal with its contents, followed by transplanting it behind the branches of the uterus. However, in further descriptions of operations, Chaklin warns
