Cheilitis Exfoliative

EXFOLIATIVE CHEILITIS (S. exfoliativum) translated from Latin means “flaky.” In the literature it is often called lichenoid pyoderma.

This disease can be detected and diagnosed using a skin biopsy. A whitish or red rash may appear on the mucous membrane of a patient with this diagnosis. The manifestations of this disease are quite varied, in some cases the plaques resemble an orange peel. Other signs of the disease are expressed by the presence of a gray-white coating on the lesions of the epidermis. There is a burning sensation, hyperpigmentation may grow, and cracks may also occur. This chronic disease develops due to a decrease in the body's immune defenses. It is impossible to independently determine the symptoms and development of the disease; you need to seek help from a specialist.
