Chlorophenothane

Chlorophenothane is a chemical compound also known as DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane). DDT was widely used as an insecticide from the 1940s to the 1970s. However, DDT was later found to have negative effects on the environment and human health. Currently, the use of DDT is banned or severely restricted in most countries. However, DDT is still used in some regions to combat malarial mosquitoes and other carriers of dangerous diseases.

Chlorophenothane is a synonym for DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloromethane). DDT was one of the first synthetic insecticides, widely used in the mid-20th century to control malaria and other vectors. However, it was later discovered that DDT had negative effects on the environment and human health, so its use was significantly limited. However, in some regions DDT is still used on a limited scale to control malaria in the absence of an adequate replacement.
