Anatomy and physiology of seizures
Sometimes, due to injury, illness, fever, infection, or other unknown causes, the brain can be affected, resulting in disruption of its functioning. In this case, loss of control over the body and the occurrence of convulsions are possible.
Reasons by the court
• Epilepsy.
• Intoxication.
• Seizures in infants and children may be
caused by high body temperature, the so-called
new febrile convulsions.
• Head injury.
